Just watching some footage of Pukki's goals and there are some absolute beauties in there! The thing that surprised me was the range of goals he's scored. Seems slightly more versatile than Hoops. Very promising! Seems to have great footwork and looks like he'd link up with a partner quite nicely. I can see a Stukki partnership already

I just hope the lad can handle the type of pressure he will be under to replace the goals Hooper was worth for us .

Seemed to hold his nerve alright against Spain. Sample size of one, but I'd rather have it be a positive than a negative.

I hope that he gets more chances than in Schalke, where he was a spitcup of whoever was the coach. I would be happy with 10ish goals on the first season, worst case scenario would of course be milktrain back to Finland after the season. Looking forward to follow Scottish league this season; Pukki succeeding and mills on and off the pitch. Looking forward visit Glasscow in the near future aswell!

He'll certainly get his chance here. Lennon and our chief scout seem to have a knack of seeing something in players that others have yet to see.

The rumoured fee suggests he'll be up there with Stokes as are top two strikers.

I'm looking forward to see what he can do with a run of games under his belt.

if someone would ask me i would say

Strength's : speed,first touch,scoring ability with both feet
surprisingly good tackling and heading* ability
*not in corner kicks but in crosses and center balls

Weaknesses: kindness,a wee bit a soft at times,
stamina(at times),strength at one on one

 

I'm from Sweden and the last few years I've been watching Bundesliga a lot. I think Pukki will be a great signing even though he didn't play too often over there in Schalke. When he played he often ran past the defenders with his speed ( Yes he's very quick ) and got great goalscoring opportunities. This, I think will be the thing to change from Schalke to Celtic I mean when he got the chances in Schalke he often shot in the post or the bar or even outside the goal but he was often under big pressure. In SPL I think he will get more time when he gets the chance which will be a big difference from the Bundesliga. Like I said he has a lightning speed and acceleration but he also have a quite good shot and a really good dribble. When I saw the signing was completed I was very happy cause I think this could be one of the best signings under Lennon since Wanyama and Hooper! HH

20 is his number at Celtic.

Agree with you (on most parts) on his strenghts and weaknesses. And I have seen just about every single game he´s played since his move to HJK.

Strenghts:

He´s really fast, has got a brilliant first touch and generally just a very good vision of the game. Always gets in to goalscoring places, and usually finishes well.

Weaknesses:

Doesn´t play hard and falls to the ground too easily. Not very good at guarding the ball. Pretty useless in the air, doesn´t have much of a jump on him and often loses 50-50´s in the air.

Overall a very good, talented player who will without a doubt score plenty of goals for Celtic. Loves to play one-twos, and is often a very surprising player in a positive way. Tricky one to defend against.

I would like to know what sort of expectations the Celtic fans have for him? What would please you?
