    Hopefully, everyone knows has heard of this concept, right? Basically, am looking for folk to nominate a band, qnd through a series of rounds and a process of elimination, until just 1 band remains, and be the best of the best, and all for a bit of fun - and who knows, may even introduce people to something new... :50:

    How it works:

    - PM (that's Private Message) me with a band of your choice - it can be any band you like (first come first served though).

    - After I have all the entrants/bands, I'll structure the tournament. Round structures may vary depending on numbers remaining.*

    - Each round you will be asked to submit a song (ie. YouTube clip) from that band. This will be to me (again, via PM) and will post all of these for that round at the same time. After you submit a particular song, it CANNOT be submitted again for the tournament.

    - Rounds may be themed, so consider that in choosing a band. The themes will be broad (eg. album tracks, live, etc) so ensure your band has a bit of variety to their catalogue.

    - You'll be asked to vote EACH ROUND on the other bands. For a head to head round, you won't vote on your own battle. If you fail to vote, it may result in disqualification.

    There will be plenty of time (a few days at least) given for each round so there shouldnt be too much of a reason not to.

    - If there's any ties, I will use a complex mathematical algorithm of my own design to determine a winner (which may or may not be a coin flip, lol, but where possible more likely to be based on overall tournament results)

    - If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

    Depending on numbers, this will be a lengthy tournament with plenty of time to vote. If votes for each round are in earlier than required, results will be given earlier.

    ONE LAST THING - this is a battle to find the best of the best. View limits are out the window. All you need to do is submit a band and then songs each round (until you're out) and ensure you vote each round (even if you are out).

    Will leav e entries open until next Sunday, which gives people a chance to be included but also for folk to then theink about their selected band.

    What happens if a number of people choose the same band? I can see quite a few people all picking out the same big hitters.

    I only have 2 artists of who I like more then 7 or 8 songs :smiley-laughing002:

    Aslan would romp it but would probably lose because they don't have that many songs the ultimate case of what could of been in music

    As I stated in the OP, first in, first served in terms of band selection. There are so many great bands surely there is a suitable alternative if your first choice is not available. :icon_mrgreen:

    More the merrier guys & gals.

    There are sooooo many bands out there, just a couple for example that have not been snapped up include the Stones, Beatles, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, U2 and that is just the tip of the ice berg.
