    Ok guys
Looking for a wee bit advice on doing your own tax returns.

I've been self employed for a long time now but as I get older I'm now more or less sub contracting all the time now.

I've always used an accountant who charges not a lot(£250) for doing my books but as my accounts should be fairly straightforward now I'm CIS I'm thinking of doing them myself.

Do any you guys go it alone ?

The mob I use take £250 as well, was thinking of doing my own this year.

Hadn’t filed in the last 2 years and just got it sorted out. Still got a nice wee return after my penalties and and fees had been taken off:smoke:

But I’d have been due even more if I hadn’t used the accountant, so I’m thinking I’ll give it a bash for this years.

Same here ...just think that £250 is better in my pocket than his.

Also last year I only got a grand back after taking his fee off.
After making 30k I was looking for a bit more tbh.

I know £250 ain't a lot of money to be fair to him (he's a mate mind)
