As much as I love Rogic he hasn’t put in a performance anywhere near Maloney’s in the likes of the 3-0 Benfica game or even against Stuttgart when he was younger.

People forgot how good he was for us.

I love Rogic as much as the next guy, and he gave me perhaps the best feeling I’ve had as a Celtic fan. But to say he was far better than maloney is a massive exaggeration. Rogic with 0 goals and 0 assists in Europe would suggest, the highest level where he has made an impact is the spfl. The same can not be said of maloney.

Tom Rogic will miss out against Saints, but Lennon hopes to have the Aussie ace back soon.

He added: “Tom had an injection in his knee and he is just working through that now.

“But he is not far away from joining the team and getting up to speed. It would be a big plus having him back.”

I think he’ll find it tough getting back in the team, if everybody stays fit enough

Come on you, play the game. Tam is a class above Maloney.

Don’t deny he’s fallen short in Europe too often but when he’s on song he is absolutely class.

Plus Maloney is a wee *, Tam isnae.

Why cant they both be good?

If I had to pick it would be Maloney hands down. His free kicks were sublime.

Any particular reason for calling Maloney a *? Maybe you are the * and not Tam or Shaun? Just a thought.

People do seem to like to throw * at Celtic players. Seems to be catching on even on Celtic forums.

Keep your thoughts to yourself ya cheeky wee * :56:

Nah in all seriousness, Rogic is a better footballer than Maloney. Of that I have no doubts whatsoever.

For me different players, Tam is more silkier while Maloney was about his speed and movement.

And let's not be daft about Rogic in Europe he absolutely owned the Man City midfield a couple of years ago.

Yes but you despise Maloney, it’s nowhere near as clear cut as that.

I'd go along with that actually. Maloney had a lot more pace and movement. Also Maloney for me generally made very good decisions for a young man, possibly due to a lot of personal attention and coaching he got from Lubo. Sometimes Rogic doesn't IMO. Having said that, I think Rogic is much more skilful.

Both of them * sicknotes, though. :giggle1:

Lift this up ya *, when a Celtic fan calls a Celtic player a * it's the fan who is to be despised :RedFinger

Already been said, their styles are so different and also their eras, also their way of impacting games, Maloney being more direct in attacks, Big Tam being too chilled relaxed he attracts 4 players out of position thinking the ball's astray and ooops what's that, the big man's away, I * love how he does that all the time, our smoking hot Aussie :smoke:
