TalkCeltic Pointless

Stealing this from another forum as it seems quite fun. It's based on the Pointless TV programme. In order for the game to work, you have to maintain your integrity and not use the internet to search for answers, or any books/encyclopedias you may have in your home.

Honesty is the best policy! The questions should all be easy enough that you will know some answers straight away, but obviously there will always be more obscure ones too. Some questions, everyone should know every possible answer, so it's all down to tactics.

Round 1: Geography
Round 2: Football
Round 3: Other Sport
Round 4: Other

Your aim is to get the least common correct answer. The scoring is like golf, the lowest score wins. An incorrect answer will receive the highest score for that question plus an additional ten point punishment.

If you miss a round, you will be given the same points as the highest scorer for that round.

Round one (all questions are based on answers being in the English language, so you can't use 'Alba' as an answer for 'Scotland'):

1. Name a UK town or city, beginning with the letter 'E'.
2. Name the capital of an African country.
3. Name a country with no red or blue in its flag.
4. Name a landlocked country.
5. Name a South American capital city
6. Name a 6 letter country.
7. Name a US state beginning with any of the letters A - L (had to narrow this one down a bit from 50!!)
8. Name a country that borders Russia (direct, land borders only)
9. Name a country with a Z anywhere in its name
10. Name an EU member country.

Deadline for this first round will be Sunday evening to give plenty of time for people to get their answers in. Do not post answers in this thread, or you'll be awarded maximum points for the round. Answers should be PM'd to me.


8pm Sunday deadline for round 1.

Just post your name in the thread to say you're in, then I'll add you to the list in this post, then add scores towards the end. The winner gets loads of V's and bragging rights.
