    The SuperClásico is this Sunday, probably deserved it's own wee thread.

    Every one of these games is important, and as always this one especially. A win for River could push them into second place (if results go their way) behind Colón. While a win for Boca would mean they jump above River.

    Both teams haven't had much to cheer about this season and derby a win will probably be the only highlight of their seasons. Los Millonarios may have had a mildly better season so far but they have failed to win against Boca since November 2010.

    Fernando Cavenaghi should lead the line for River. Their group of Colombians, Álvarez Balanta, Carbonero and Gutiérrez will also be important. Riquelme should be back for Boca. Luciano Acosta should be interesting to watch, along with their stars who didn't really shine in Europe, Gago, Daniel Díaz, Pablo Ledesma. So both teams are fairly matched, although they are no where near their famous best or even the best in Argentina currently.

    Looking forward to this. Hoping for an extremely evenly boring match with one of the teams conceding an own goal in the 93rd minute to secure an undeserved victory.

    Best chance so far was when Riquelme went on a good run, he was taking down by Álvarez but managed to get the ball out to Miño, who put in a great cross which Riquelme just put over.

    Both teams just figuring each other out so far. River dominating in the middle but Boca have started to get their normal possession game going.

    Sánchez Miño and Insua causing a few problems on the wing. Two best chances have come from them putting in good crosses and running on the wing.

    Gigliotti with a terrible miss. I've been singing Álvarez Balanta's praise for ages but he made a mess of that cross.

    Been better than the last Clásico so far :50:

    Riquelme is immense. Magnificent wee drag back and back heel for Gago earlier on.

    Impressed with how good the ref has been, doesn't often buy the diving or feigning of injuries. Game has a good flow to it as a result.

    Scottish Refs take note.
