    This is more like it.

I like Armstrong, he has always impressed me and I have wanted him ahead of the likes of Mckay Steven, Ciftci and even Gauld to be honest. Past few seasons he has really stepped it up as well.

I'd like us to go for him, we've missed out on enough Scottish talent as we all know. United will no doubt be more keen to sell to an English side though.

I reckon Kayal will be off so bringing him in would do us no harm. Bitton, Brown, Johansen and Armstrong is a good 4 to rotate with. I have missed out Mulgrew as I am not a big admirer of him in there.

I'd love us to get him. Amazing he's still only 22, feels like he's been knocking about for ages.

He's been playing great this season. Would definitely for out £2m for him. We can't let him go south.

It's the perfect time now for him to make a jump somewhere. He's served utd well and has done well not to be drawn on riches elsewhere. I think he has waited until he is ready, which is now.

Can't let him slip away like so many other young Scots e.g Fletcher, Gauld, Robertson...

It's about time we invested in more Scottish talent and we've seen this boy knocking about for years now.

It would be a(nother) wasted opportunity if we don't sign him.

Would definitely be a long term replacement for Commons imo.

Does Frank actually have a clue about what is going on at Celtic Park?

    They won't accept that.

It also sounds like a bit of a football manager deal.

Looking on a United forum and the consensus from their fans on the player and speculation seems to be "can be a very good but is far too inconsistent and that any decent offer, say over £1m, should be accepted"

Playing with us he'll have a lot more of the ball and be focused much more on attacking, which will only help him improve.

If we buy him that must be a sure sign that Commons is out the door?
