    Anyone caught this yet?

Just finished it there. 8 episodes long, I'd recommend giving it a watch. Getting rave reviews.

I would try and sum up the story but you'd be as well googling or watching it yourself, a bit hard to explain.

Watched it all, great series, cant wait for next season. Though the shoplifter looked like most of her scenes were forced as * though

I disagree. I think she did a great job of conveying a lot of emotion with very little dialogue.

Great series. One of the best so far on Netflix.

just finished it, great wee show.

    9.2 is to high a rating though,lol

Its fun and a great throwback to the cheesy 80's movies.....A mix of Stand by me/The Goonies/The Thing/silent hill.

The acting was great tbh, the wee lassie especially.....

Story wise was good, cant see it going further into more season though..

    7/10

Iv got so much on just now it's hard to get everything. Once containment is over this will be next on my list. Sounds right up my street.

Infact as I write this I'm going to download the full thing for the 9 hour flight for my holiday :56:

Started yesterday afternoon and finished it there, what a brilliant series. It has everything in it that leaves you wanting to watch more and confused to * about what is actually going on.
Can see how it's been heavily inspired by Spielberg, Lucas and Stephen King.

Acting is excellent as well, all the kids especially 11 and the Chief David Harbour.

Definitely going to be a 2nd season and can't wait.

Considering I'm still at work, I guess not. Recommended it to a few people today though.

a nine 9.2 was too high for me.

still a decent watch.think i would have enjoyed this much more in my teens.noticed some throwbacks to lost boys and nightmare on elm street.

thought the main boy in this was supposed to look like the boy out the shining.

the poster for this i think was supposed to be like the goonies and the bikes at the start.

cant get pictures to compare on this tablet.

anyone else notice any throwbacks to there favourite movies from the 80s.

Just finished it. It's really good and lived up to the hype.

For once, all the child actors were great - particularly Eleven. Hopefully the mystery of how the monster came to be and why this all happened will be explained further in season 2.

    Finished this on Friday.

Excellent!! Really loved how authentically 80's it was. Looked like it was genuinely filmed then. Great music and the acting was good too, although Lucas annoyed me a little bit.

@ChrisMoh, just seen your post, yeah there was definite 80s movie comparisons, the Goonies, ET, and especially Stand By Me when they were on the railway tracks.

I think the wee guy who played Lucas was fine but the character was a pain in the *. There always has to be one character that you * hate:smiley-laughing002:
