According to GetWestLondon, Brendan Rodgers could be poised to make a mover for former Tottenham and Liverpool defender Caulker.

His 30k a week wages could be a stumbling block but QPR may be keen to remove his substantial salary from the books.

Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink would like to keep the stopper at Loftus Road however.

He said: Steven Caulker has come back to training and been absolutely magnificent. That’s not a player I’d want to let go and not a player I see going.

I have very little knowledge on him to be honest, can't ever really remember seeing him play.

Is he any good? Do a job for us in the big matches?

If he's only on 30 bag's a week, that's interesting. Thought with his club's and moves, he'd be on much more..

Champion's league football, first team player and some bonuses and it wouldn't surprise me if we got him and didn't go over the 30 grand..

Career sort of nose dived after some promising spells but for me, he'd cruise the Scottish game, and do ok for us in Europe..

Are we just going to look at * in England and build a British team?

Honestly, we can get cheaper abroad.

    He'd maybe be a loan?

True, never even thought of that.

Wouldn't be too averse to that then.

Would defos take him over Duffy. He needs to move to a club and settle down for a few years and I think here would be a great place for that.

I saw him a couple times for Tottenham and couldn't fault him have a mate who supports Liverpool too and says he is decent with the ball at his feet too

    I agree.

What we're looking for is another Van Dijk, an uncovered gem with bags of potential who is playing in a league where we can compete financially.

Good player. I would've never thought he's still only 24. He could do with a club to settle at and get playing for a few seasons, judging by his career history.

He would walk it in the SPL. He would be a brilliant signing because Rodgers knows how to get the best out of him. He was excellent at Swansea.

    Aye I'm the same now when I realised he's 24, I thought he was 29 or 30.

Could be good for us if this happens!

Think we are looking him on loan, unless he takes a huge cut from 30k. He played a lot under Rodgers Swansea I'm sure. I'd take him in a heartbeat here.

Id rather have Duffy, dont rate this big clumsy, slow diddy at all. No wonder no teams want him - hopefully including us. Tottenham, QPR, Southampton and Liverpool all quick to get rid of him, must have some agent.

Get both him and Duffy in. We need more than one or two good defenders at the club. I'd like to see us push Ajer further up the field, as well, preferably into the DM berth especially for European games.

Capped for England at Swansea under Rodgers.

If he were to come in and show that form, he's 24 years old, he'd be a cracking signing.
