Im actually a fan of the brick front old with modern around it

No need for capacity increase maybe 1 2 k extra if stand was to be updated a lot of teams build from the inside while keeping the outside the same stuttgart done something like this

Facilities like others have said and maybe even not that hard to ask but put some toilets outside the ground in the talk of toilets the main stand needs renovated for that purpose i like the outside but the inside is stuck in the 1960s

5 star stadiums are a thing of the past uefa dont rate it by that anymore although the huns would make you think so

Hampden has hosted a few finals and that would be with the bus access and facilities alone

Looks like 2 different architects had a fight over who's design to use so they decided to split it 50/50.

Im sure someone posted a photo of a stadium where they built a second tier that was all corporate boxes and stuff like that. I think that might be a shout, even if it was a mix of standard seats and corporate stuff.

also has it been officially clarified that we can't remove the pillars holding up the roof? just seems with all the fancy stadiums getting built their would be a way to do it without blocking sunlight on the graveyard from the newer stands, and the old stand I think it is completely within our control to remove them?

We'd only need to expand if we ended up moving leagues which will never happen. The only time we'd fully sell those seats would be champions leagues n hun matches. Even champions league will be near enough a closed shop soon for the 4 big leagues.

Noticed last night that once the hotel is built the only ones allowed to park there must have a match ticket and be a guest of the hotel for the day they park

I'd love to see us increase the capacity by knocking down the main stand an starting again.

I just want the roof to be the same height all the way round :55:

I like our 3/4 height setup, its iconic and sets us apart.
Standing outside Celtic Park and reading "Celtic Football Club 1888" on the North Stand is a great view to behold.

There is a pic showing the stadium in reverse wi 1 the main stand higher than the other 3 and that looks wrong.

If we were to throw serious money at the stadium then the priority should be in removing all restricted views and pillars.

The old stand makes the stadium look half finished * the feng shui up a bit. I'd love to see it demolished and a state of the art rebuild done. Would defo take big games to another level generate cash.

Talking about empty stadiums and seats smaller games, you think Celtic would introduce some kind of scheme where season book holders if not going to a game could inform the club and the club could then sell the seats to people on the brew single parents etc with huge reductions or give them to charities hospitals. If your not going to a game they can print tickets for your seat no problem so nothing stopping them from doing it. This also draws people into the club and ensures new generations of fans.

The whole second part is quite a good idea..

I like the main stand how it is though. That old feel to it still instead of the generic completely rounded off stadiums you see down here and all across Europe now..

Also used to sit mainly in the North Stand when I was up and liked the view over Glasgow and the high rises when the game's were pish :fear:

Is the main stands foundations not supposed to be sinking a few cm a year? I mind reading about it years ago that it wouldn't be problem until halfway through the century.

What should be more important is extending the safe standing to one whole stand or having the opposite corner safe standing.

    Yep. Agree with this.

Plus a new stand migh stop some of the sun hitting the pitch. Which I like coz it’s sexy.

I’d probably be on the side of demolishing he main stand too so we can redevelop the changing rooms etc. and get a couple of major finals. It would sweeten any deal to get Scotland out of Hampden too.

If we do redevelop the stadium in any significant way we should definitely be increasing the capacity. You’ve got to me optimistic with these things. Even if we don’t fill it week in week out it would still make a fortune for the games that we do.

I'd be more inclined to see what could be done to increase safe standing.

If some work could be done to increase safe standing and the overall capacity by say 2000 then tickets would still sell and I feel like more people would be inclined to go to any match if there is more opportunity to be part of the atmosphere the standing guys generate.
