More of the same first half, much better second.

Ultimately being a cup competition the result was all that matters but we’re still working at shaking off the malaise just now.

Looked like the same old same first half, thankfully second was an improvement and we're still in the cup anyway. Now it's on to Saturday and hopefully we can build on the second half performance. Boyata * *.

That's fair enough as long as it is enforced consistently. In which case you have 22 reds every game.

Reading back this thread and people querying Boyata's red card, * * he had his rant, had another go and then still kept it going, what do people think will happen.

Did you see the rage all over the ref's face ?

Looks like he was the one who lost the plot, they are supposed to keep their composure, i'd love to know what was said.

No I've not seen it on tv yet. Aye they should keep their composure, I wouldn't disagree with that at all, but so should he have.

A couple of baby steps in the right direction in that 2nd half there folks. Not getting carried away as thought the same after the orcs and then Rosenberg.......BUT we did create a good bit which is more encouraging...probably more than .last few games together.

Start against the sheep the way we did the 2nd half please!!

Yup ...and looked as if he wasn't giving up either. You're allowed to say that and call Beaton a * and also debate the red....doesn't change the fact that Boyata acted the * . ..as per!!

must say i thought ntcham was back to his best with his passing, thought he was mom, he is the one that makes the incisive passes that we have been lacking of late

Watching Boyatas red, Beaton had a yellow out then Boyata kept walking away and had obviously said something but if that’s a red then you’d have 4 or 5 reds every * game. Beaton was just * we were winning.

Put it on a plate for Mcgregor with a nice ball at end of first half.

Was same against the huns, soon as he starts pinging forward balls we step up the pace and opens up the spaces.

Really night and day between the first half and the second. Very slow and uninventive in the first although with Griffiths header and McGregors chance right on half we should have been 1 up at half. The second half was much more like it though. We really got after them and had them on the rack for long periods in the second. Could easily have had 3 goals beyond Griffiths winner. So certainly good to win and move into the semi-finals but just as important that second half performance was what we needed as well. Still a ways to go but that second half performance wise was a step in the right direction as well as the result we wanted

It being a cup tie , we did what was required ; qualified for the next round . We saw the worst and best of Leigh last night IMHO . The worst was when he missed a great chance , and rather than continue competing/closing down their defence , he stopped playing to hold his head in his hands in melodramatic fashion . The best was when he displayed razor sharp reflexes to convert an awkward chance for the goal .

    Just caught the highlights.

Looked good in spells but if we're serious about 10iar we need some upgrades.

Can't see Brendy hanging around at this rate.
