what a face this split thing is by looks of it it’s a pretty simple one for Celtic in terms of matches

    Home

    Sevco
    Aberdeen
    Killie

    Away

    Hibs
    Hearts

But Sevco have to play 2 of hibs/hearts/Aberdeen/Killie

    3 times at home

    Shambles

It happens every year. Last season I think Ross County got an extra away game while Partick got an extra home game. That was a big deal as both were fighting to avoid relegation going into the split.

I think Celtic could play Rangers 3 times at Ibrox but there is no chance the league would dare do that. Im not sure what the official decision rules are when deciding who has to get the extra away game against certain teams?

Is that right! Seems pretty wrong from every other teams point of view.

I think this split set up is awful but if we are stuck with it then why not help out the 'lesser' teams by ensuring they get to play clubs with a good travelling support twice at home before the split.

the league really needs expanded and the total amount of league games reduced. at a push there are 16 teams in Scotland who could make up a top league and if clubs need more games to make up revenue then they can either play friendlies or better still work with their communities to attract more folks to the games.

maybe the bigger clubs will have to look at giving a small % of gate money to visiting teams.. based on their ticket sales would be the way to go, reward those clubs who bring support. Can't see any sensible way forward as every club is going to vote in their own interests and none of their interests are aligned with Celtic's ambition to prepare for Europe

A 16 team league would be a terrible decision wih the current tv deal. should have been done early 2000s

I think it will depend how many points clear we are at the split mate. Doubt they will let us clinch the title against the DOBs.

Aye I was thinking the same mate, depends if them or us drop anymore points, but hearing the coppers want it early as possible incase of the scenario you mentioned.

So if Motherwell drop points tonight that is the top 6 sorted and there would be nothing to stop them doing the fixtures tomorrow ?

You’d think so, but it’s the SFA we’re talking about here...

At worst it just shows how incompetent they are..

Brendan is right. It should go ahead as normal. The league split is supposed to be designed for excitement at both ends, meaning the likelihood of a title win against rival's or a relegation battle is a fair possibility each year. The fan's being completely shafted who'd of booked in advance, just giving a decision just over a week in advance......is it a home game? Will it even be on a Sunday now? Ridiculous but so blatantly predictable..

I'd love to be a fly on the wall to hear the reasoning and what exactly get's said between these scum *..

Roll on Sunday though. Winning this will cripple them this year even more than hammering them for an inevitable title that's long won..
