    Hi Taz, see when you say it's ok if the song entered is from a later year like a live version, does that include covers or does it have to remain the original artist?

    Yes everyone can still join in. I only posted this lauch yesterday, so everyone still has til Thursday or Friday if they want to get involved. Good to have you back in again, bob.

    As for the later year, yes, was thinking more specifically of live or re-imagined versions (sped up/slowed down/stripped back/added instrumentals/acoustic versions etc) by the artist that originally released the song that was released in 1978/79.

    Not Joe Bloggs did 'Song A' in 1978 and then Susan Skippy comes along in 2008 and did a cover of 'Song A', that would not be eligible.

    Different groups I guess. What if Taz picked 1998 next and the artist isn´t even alive anymore in that year or the group you picked disbanded in 1990.

    If anyone else wants to be part of this, you have until those 2 have put their Round 1 song selections in.

    Additionally, when I post the Round 1 songs will also be posting the Round 2 theme, so that the Round 2 song submissions can be sent in at the same time as Round 1 voting.
