Neil Robertson just made a maximum break in the UK Championship final. First time it's ever happened in a Triple Crown final.

 

Neil Robertson wins the UK Championship for the second time in 3 years.

 

Not enough characters in snooker I dont think, nobody really likable to take any interest in. I used to watch it but havent really paid any attention for a long time.

 

I used to love snooker but now I wouldn't even watch it at all

 

I watch it for the skill rather than the characters. Mind you, Wenbo seemed a bit of a character in the final tonight, some funny antics.

 

Aye you want to see quality as well but theres no snooker player now I would say you need to watch either cause they are that interesting or that good, sport could do with the emergance of a new world class talent who comes in and dominates like Van Gerwen at the darts then people would tune in again to see the great player and if people can beat him. Would be better too if he was a good character who was popular outside the sport too.

Nobody about the now who puts snooker on the map.

 

I'd say Trump was a very exciting player to watch, and Robertson just made snooker history so that's quite big news for the sport. Quite a few Asian players coming through who could progress and become really good.

 

I don't really care about characters in the game. I watch it for the skill of it. I don't think antics would be entertaining in the sport.

Anyway, well done to Robertson. He was outstanding against Selby yesterday.

 

I mean for it to become more popular though, like nobody talks about snooker now id say its decreased in popularity a lot since 10 year ago. Still decent players about but for most people nothing worth watching.

 

I know where you're coming from but there's plenty worth watching. Robertson, Trump, Selby, Murphy, Higgins and Ding are all excellent players and then of course you have Ronnie who's still the best in the world when he's on his game.

 

Can't find information for this year, but the 2014 World Championship was the highest viewing figures for six years. So the popularity of the game isn't as bad as you suggest.

I'm with you here he should be made to play a certain percentage of events a year or stay away entirely.

 

Still taking money even when not playing.Im sure Eurosport paid handsomely for his studio appearances......not that i blame him, but i definitely dont respect him.

 

Sure Ronnie has his own show now.
Do love watching the snooker though, can totally appreciate the skill n tactics. Much rather watch snooker than darts for example. I know darts is big with a lot of folk now.

 

Kinda wanted Robertson to lose. Comes across as a bore but a terrific player nonetheless..

Ronny is a * imo not sure how can anyone can find the guy funny his antics are embarrassing

 

I can't help but admire Ronny. He's the best and most talented snooker player of all time without a shadow of a doubt for me.

 

Great player yeah but he needs to decide if he wants to retire or commit full time to the circuit not just play 2 or 3
