Getting myself one of these, any recommendations?

I'm leaning towards the Apple watch series 4, looks to have a lot of features. If you have an apple watch, how long does your battery usually last between charges?

I've an lg watch that's about 4 years old now, still does everything I expect and need it to do. Admittedly * knows what newer features they already have today.
    Love it though.

I get two days out of it battery wise, take it off the charge at 7am and I'll be good till about 7pm the next night. Charges withing an hour or so.

As for apple watch, * knows mate but apple are pish. Hate the company and wouldn't touch them at all.

What is it you don’t like about apple and their products?

Do you mainly use it for fitness?

    Overpriced fashion statement.
Almost every piece of tech they release they market it in a way that makes you believe you are getting cutting edge technology, or something that competitors don't do...but it's usually 2 years our of date and/or disguised as something else.
You'll always pay more than what you get (Samsung are getting just as bad).

Then there is the attitude of a lot of people who buy in to their apple community who think they are better than others.

That's modern day, really though, they are a sell out corporate * of a company.
Once upon a time they were the pioneers of a user friendly, user centered computing company. Actively promoting "Mac parties" where back in the day, geeky folk would saunter on down to a convention with their old school Apple computers and swap floppy disks with each other. Apple encouraged this, sharing of software and what not.

Now, you can't use any of their products without going through ab extensive list of security checks, linking your phone to your watch to your computer to your car etc, in a way that is tied solely to your account, which can't be shared with others in the same way as previous.

Totally a tangent here, but short, I just don't like them.

But to be honest, if you like the style of the apple watch, the price of okay for you and it does what you want it to do, then that's all that matters.

I use my watch for an actual watch mostly. Asking with knowing it tracks my fitness as well as being able to use it as a quick way to check any call/emails/messages without needing to check the phone.

Handy in the car, a small glance can tell me if the message I received is actually needing responding to (in which case I'll pull over)

Stopped reading at Apple being corporate sellouts. FFS man all companies are in place primarily to make money and make headway in the corporate world. Unfortunately it is a wasteful consumer era we live in.

    Brother has a tag one.

Tbh I'd rather spend 1k on an aquaracer that has Swiss movement and doesn't require charging.

Oooft. That's as emasculating as having your 6 month loan deal terminated early.

Nah, you haven't mate. I was speaking to a lad at work who told me that Garmins are mainly used as a fitness watch, so I was just wondering if you were the same. I haven't used one so don't know what other features it has.

Don't agree with some of that about apple, but that's a different (and a boring) conversation.

Anyway, I'll look up LG watches too. Can you also set it up to pay for things using your watch? That's one of the things that appeals to me about the apple watch, especially as it doesn't have the £30 limit most contactless cards do.

I'm buying myself a Breitling this year, but I won't be wearing a nice watch like that on a day to day basis. I always end up with nicks and scratches on watches I wear daily.

I am abhorred and find that totally offensive singling your brother out. Not sure if there are any racial undertones in it so I can do * all about it @MagnificentSeven :39:

P.s. may check with @The Prof as he’s your last hope.

Haven't completely decided yet, but I like the look of the SuperOceans.
