    That would make it an hour each half, if you kept stopping the clock.

    The only thing I agree with change that'd make things more exciting is the final whistle can't go while the ball is in play. 1-1 99 minutes gone of end to end attack and nobody wanting to put the ball out. Sounds good to me :56:

    Advertisers would love it, not having to go a whole 50 minutes without being able to force their crap down our throats. Will ticket and TV packages be reduced to reflect the time reduction? Probably not.

    The best way to to "re-invigorate" football isn't coming up with utterly stupid ideas like this that benefit no-one (especially fans).

    Shake up the points system.

    Instead of having standard 1 points for a draw, and 3 for a win, you should have BONUS points for say (an extra 1 point per game if you score more than 3 goals in a match) and deduction of points if you concede (again say 3 goals per game).

    That should stop teams from going out game after game attempting to simply defend for their lives and having 6-7 mean sitting back in defence for most of the game.
