Thread for all your junior football talk.

I follow Kilbirnie Ladeside and today we are at home to Beith Juniors, should be a cracker as always and especially after the closed door games of past seasons.

Who is your local team and do you follow them...

Drinking Ban is still in place , fans are segregated to opposite sides of the ground with police and stewards in attendance probably the horses with riot gear again. Hopefully pass without incident or its back to closed doors.

Well it was a trouble free game apart from the usual chants.

Ladeside went 2 behind early on but pulled 1 back before the break, started the 2nd half alot better and levelled shortly after and then scored to make it 3-2 in the dying minutes so was a good game for myself lol.

Saw Clydebank pump Glasgow Perthshire 5-1 at Holm Park, Yoker last week, some terrific football on show and on on this evidence Junior football is well worth getting along to if Celtic are not playing.

Old school as *, a fiver to get in and most of the crowd drinking Tennents :50:

Does anybody know anything about Hurlford United? Playin my local team Inverurie Locos in the Scottish Cup today. They must be pretty decent if the bookies hav em favourites away.

They're a very decent team, particularly in the last couple of years.

I was wanting to go to a game today but circumstances prevent it. Auchinleck Talbot are taking on Edinburgh in the Scottish Cup. Big contingient heading through I think.

I seen they won the Scottish Junior cup last year so they must be pretty good. Locos finished second in the highland league last year and pretty good themselves. Ill be going and hoping its a cracker.:50:

Have a lot of financial backing, some Tarmac guy l think. They're a good team at the moment but will probably be back to being * once he pulls his money out. You will have a hard game on your hands.

I went to Linlithgow Rose-Dalbeattie Star last weekend as we had the game on the Sunday, was really good stuff and a 5-1 win for Linlithgow.

It's one of the best grounds in Junior Football and well worth a visit.

Only bad points were hearing the away fans come out with that "bouncy bouncy" Hun pish and the fat burd in the pie hut looking at me with disdain after asking for a pie at quarter to 3 as if that was an outlandish request "come back in 10 minutes when they are ready" she barked at me....so much for the grassroots of football :celt_2:

Celtic played Hurlford Utd twice, first in 1893 and last in 1923, beat them 4-0 and 6-0.
