I wouldn't be in a hurry to offer him a contract extension at the moment. He's tied down for another 15 months and will be 31 by next summer.

Committing to another 2/3 year deal at £35k per week on a guy that isn't an automatic starter wouldn't be wise. If you look at the hun thread and notice how many people have omitted him from their starting XIs, that tells it's own story.

Still has next season? Some reason had it in my head it was this year, and next season was the potential extension

If that's the case, nowt to concern with currently. Would be crazy to offer anything with no sure manager. Plenty time to assess and activate

Article on the club website states a 4 year deal was signed in August 2016.

Deciding on if he should get an extension to that should be a long way down on our list of priorities.

    Agreed. For many reasons.

He's not gonna look to push for a live anyway, I'd imagine not.
Unless He Who Must Not Be Named comes in for him, about the only place I think Sinclair would actively seek to leave us for (before contract runs out).

He's not gonna demand a move to relegation fodder in England, he hated that part of his career.

I don't even think the snake would be interested in taking him to Leicester. He's nowhere near consistently good enough to displace players they have already have in those positions.

I'd agree, specially if they are looking to get a euro spot. But he's weirdly loyal to some players, if not to a club.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him try and 'swoop' even if it's as a squad player.

One of our most creative players. The stats tell their own story. Should be doing everything in our power to keep him.

Neil Lennon has revealed Scott Sinclair and Nir Bitton are in talks over new deals at Celtic.

Both players are out of contract at the end of next season but could agree to extend their stays at Parkhead.

Reports earlier this month claimed Sinclair was sweating over whether Celtic would trigger a one-year extension clause in his current contract.

Can see Scotty staying. He and his family are loving it in Glasgow.

Plus, albeit he can have games where he's missing, he scores goals.

    Also.....Who hasn't enjoyed seeing Helen flannigan ?

I'd happily see us take the 1 year extension option, just hope he finds his 1st season form again. I think if we play more direct and get balls into him quicker so he's running at defences he's a lot more effective rather than taking the ball in with his back to goal high the pitch with 2 players pressing him. Same with Forrest.

Couldn’t give a how much he cost or how many goals he’s scored.

    We need better.

He’s on massive money for us. The thought of giving him another 2/3 years on the money he’s on is enough to make ye sick.

Tavernier had him in his back pocket. How times have changed.

Created one good chance where he got the shot off and was anonymous afterwards.

Most hesitant player I’ve ever seen... wee Jonny was much more direct and Burke would have been even more so.

Hayes was more of the threat going forward that him.

It’s a hard one cause he does get goals but he frustrates the * life out of me.
