I am sure going around other clubs though you would find a host of players who were playing regularly at that age. I'm not saying necessarily that he will thrive if thrown straight in but you won't know if not given the chance. KT only got his chance because of an Izzy suspension if I remember correctly.

I've tried to defend the guy as he genuinely does have the ability, but without confidence he does nothing. Samaras was the same under Mowbray and even Lenny for a time but when Sammy got his confidence back, he became a key player for us.

Sinclair was flying in his first season and did very well for the first half of last season. This calender year he has not done enough. We need a replacement, it's a shame because he was such a joy to watch.

In fairness he put in a few good crosses, but our centre forward was too busy standing on the penalty spot or hiding behind 2 defenders to run in and take a chance on any of yjem

Is a cross good, if it isn’t aimed at a person?

That’s something that’s always annoyed me, commentators saying ‘it was a good ball but nobody was there’ - it wasn’t a good ball then haha

Don't completely agree with this. I think there is definite areas that players should try and get into. Strikers should gamble. I get what you're saying though

Yes, ideally you should be crossing to hit a man but if you put in an excellent ball to a dangerous position that should be getting attacked. Then it isn't really your fault if no one gets on the end of it.

3 or 4 good ball's I can recall us putting in..

Sinclair when he dinked it back post. Keeper done well to get it away..

Izzy second half whipped it right in. His only 1 of the day..

Johnston as soon as he came on and skinned Efe..

Sinclair or someone else I think put in another. Was it him that put the 1 in where Porteous made a mental last ditch block that could've ended an own goal?

Forrest put in a terrible 1 from the right wing when he brushed that Porteous off..

I disagree too. You can certainly have a * ball in, a cross that is too deep or hits the first defender.

But there are definitely instances where the perfect ball/cross is played in, right between the opposition and it really is up to someone to get on the end of it.

Same way as someone can hit a good penalty but keeper pulls of a worldie, Sinclair’s v the sheep I wouldn’t call a bad penalty, it was a great save.

Aye definitely mate, I wasn’t thinking specifics there, just something that’s always annoyed me. A very Scottish/English thing seeing nobody in the box and a ball getting whipped in and thats said. Watch the likes of Barca and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it happen.

Ryan Stevenson on sportscene a few years back "That's a dangerous challenge when your on a yellow he really is running the goblet now"

Another one was "If Kris Commons gets that a few inches either side of the crossbar it's 1 0 Celtic"

I had a cracker saved on my phone once from Sportscene, think it was Snodgrass? completely losing his words, saying “thingmy” and that. I’ll find it

I completely disagree with the reason you don't see it often with big clubs is because there Strikers are genuinely first class. Half the balls we play are a predatory type strikers dream yet with our strikers Jack * happens. Saying that only way it can possibly get us more goals is either a front 2 or a Poacher who lives for half the crosses we put in

Mate I seen * saying it when we had Henrik Larsson, I’ve seen * saying it with Alex Ferguson’s teams.

You don’t see the likes of Barca do it because they tend not too play a pass when a man isn’t there. I’m not talking they kinda gambling ones where a striker should follow his run through.

Yeah and half the balls we do play in these days someone should be moving towards the ball yet move away from it but every team has bad crosses in them we seem to be shiter than most because of how many opportunities are * some of the blame lands on Edouard but Sinclair and Forrest have both not continued there runs at times it's frustrating as * to see I think Sinclair is our worst player at deliveries from out wide though. What I hate most about us though is when a ball is played in and just hits the first man and the no one is even trying to move towards the ball.
