He is what he is. Look at his career and it’s been quite up and down. Does he justify the wage he’s on? Probably not. Do I want him out the door though? Not yet.

We need better if we want to be a champions league club again, but we can say that about a lot of positions in the team.

At the end of the day he’s still reasonably productive so a good player to have around the squad but he’ll never be “top class”, he peaked with us in his first season, and that Sinclair is long gone. Anyone expecting him to reach those heights again will just leave themselves disappointed

What do you think it is? Mental problem? Secretly carrying an injury? Something more serious? We should remember that we don't actually know the reason for his dramatic drop in form. It's all just guesswork. Remember Forrest playing poorly and it turned out he was playing with sciatica? Something like that would explain Sinclair wussing out of heavy challenges too.

I've been thinking about this and my gut tells me that the same guy that was running (with some success) at Man City's defence is not going to be struggling to run at Motherwell's unless something is not quite right.

Honestly? I think his priorities have changed from football to family, had one last bit of being absolutely adored and his name chanted out every week. Won POTY, played a major part of a major season. Had a wean in the summer, nice wee family, racially abused in the stands and I think it just looks like a mental switch has turned from giving his all to football to his focus being elsewhere.

I thought it was confidence but it’s went past that now, he still celebrates with a lot of passion. Look at him at the league cup win or scoring the winner against Aberdeen. He still has that passion in him but its for the highs, the week in/week out grind though? I think his focus is elsewhere.

Don’t think from his perspective it’s something he’ll even realise until 5/6/7 years down the line.

Said it before but I think Southgate ruling him out took some fire out his belly. Either that or the shock and horror of Jack Hendry getting the better of him resulted in some form of PTSD

It's so coincidental that his form has dipped in line with Southgates statement.

Might be something in it, but I lean more towards the theory that he's carrying something that is impeding his performances like how others have suggested with Forrest when he was off form.
