With everyone fit, it’s a tough decision because of his leadership qualities and experience...but in terms of our midfield being fluid and dynamic, with everyone fit he doesn’t start..

    McGregor is the key..

Nobody is near his level when it comes to facing teams better than us. Which is why we had to get him off the bench and we looked a lot better with him against Salzburg.

McGregor is also one of the biggest (if no the biggest) threat against teams in Europe and styming him going forward takes that threat away almost completely.

    He’s nowhere near Broony defensively.

I think people are also mixing up out lack of fluidity without Tom Rogic with it being Scott Brown * that up. They’ve barely had a game together this season, they’ve certainly not played fully fit together.

McGregor is flexible but he’s most effective as a deep lying playmaker.. in Europe where possession is everything it’s essential he plays there when he can..

I take your point with Rogic and Brown not being fit together much, but for me..

    McGregor
    Rogic Christie

Is our most dangerous combination.. all have movement, all can pass accurately and all have a goal in them.

Would you start rogic against valencia if brown starts and all were in form and fit?

Rogic in centre mid instead of further forward? Needs to be behind the striker I think, by far his best position and how you get the best out of our team.

Scott Brown has consistently kept possesion the best for us in Europe as well, I don’t think he’s lost the ball often at all, he also wins back possession more than anybody in our midfield.

McGregor’s vision is better and I have no qualms about him there but if you take the last few games as an example, 2 goals and his assist today, further back the pitch they don’t happen.

If there’s chances falling to anybody in Europe I’d want it to be McGregor. Taking that away from us is huge.

I’d probably be tempted to drop Christie more than anything and bring his energy on when Rogic’s legs tire an hour or so in but in that situation it’s a straight fight between they two for me.

Brown and McGregor are the key players against better teams in my mind, very closely followed by Tierney and Forrest.

3 academy boys there, just noticed that, how goods that

Rogic would be behind the striker for the most part but with the rotation and movement they all have that’s the most effective trio..

It’s a bit of a mute point as Brown will play v Valencia in any case and hopefully he’ll have a stormer..

Each to their own. I think Scott Brown makes us far more defensively solid.

I think it's a double edged sword with Broon. He's robust and can break up play better than anyone in the team, but his sloppy passing puts us under unnecessary pressure some times.

Ehh!!! He's one of the best passers we have ,his stats wae brendan have been discussed on here many times , if your meaning recently , then coming back from injury and tired passing late in a game is something every player has in them .

Except he consistently has the highest pass completion rates in the team.

People frequently ignore * like that to decide he can’t pass for some reason, he had two absolute belters during the week against St Johnstone as well.

His passing has been good for years. If folk think his passing is * they’ve no watched a Celtic game since circa 2012.

He was absolutely superb in that second half yesterday, in every way. He is a long way from finished.
