Why were those Dundee numpties booing Bain ? When it was McCann who gave Bain the *'s rush out the door .

Great question. Because they can't recognize quality when it's right in front of them.

Bain was MOTM for me, easily. Crucial saves that kept us in there for the last minute winner today.

I agree. But as I said on the match thread I am worried that we have an over reliance on Bain. He was superb again today.
    Another shut out.
    But he is not Superman.
We need to do better. Much better.

Agreed that we're relying on him, and it's great that we are AND it's working out. Cheers to him for his hard work stepping up into the first team!

At 27, Bain's much better positioned to stick with us long-term rather than CG (36 and currently injured) or DDV (38 and out of action for most of his time here). Hazard (21 and on loan) is away to Partick Thistle and may still have have something for us... Never seen him, so who knows?

If we keep what we have now and focus on RB, CB, and another midfielder and/or winger on the left this summer, do we need to go looking for another keeper at this moment? I'm not so sure.

Some keeper to have got for free, when you consider our back-up keepers over the years Hedman, Mark Brown, Zaluska, De Vries all awful who you never wanted near the team under any circumstances. Now we have a guy who looks good enough as a number 1 on a free transfer probably only being paid about £5k a week.

Should get him tied down for 6/7 years in the summer.

I was thinking what a joke that was myself when I was watching the game. Pretty pathetic reaction really from the Dundee fans.

That bit at the end when he was fending off 2 rabid huns was reminiscent of the Artur Boruc choking Weir moment. Loved it from Bain

Should have took one for the team and head butted Halliday, then did a Cantona on Gerrard.

You're Scott Bain and I bet you think this post is about you!

Goalkeeper position seems finally sorted, for the first time an a good few years.

Thought for the first time since coming in he looked slightly ropey, that being said he was class at the end man handling that filthy hun * when he was getting too close to broony.

The chance at the end where Ajer had to clear it - I think Bain should have been able to hold onto the ball but he dived too early or misjudged his angles and so was struggling to keep a hold of it.

But couldn't fault him apart from that moment. Looks solid enough. Would have to see their goal again, but don't think he could have done anything about it.

Good to see Bain getting right in about the scuffles backing his captain up :50:

The one where he palmed it was similar to what he done at Ibrox when Morelos missed that sitter in the 3-2 game. I think he was unlucky at their goal as he got a decent foot on it and on another day it may have drift by the post.

Done well today, I thought the one near the end where he palmed it out nearly gave them a goal though needed a stronger hand to get it away more.

And the fact he * went toe to toe with most of them zombie * at the end with Brown makes him a * star in my eyes! Take note Boyata Bain is no * bag

Wasn't really at fault for their goal, moreso boyata falling on his * and completely losing Kent imo.
