Managed to watch a bit of the game last night at work, the biggest difference I noted between that of Gordon and Bain was, when Gordon gets the ball passed back to him and when he goes to pass back out or turn the ball and pass out wide it seems to take an eternity.

When Bain was receiving the ball last night, he was sharp, quick energetic, and as soon as he got the ball back he was literally * moving the ball on inch-perfectly straight away. Was great to see.

If Brendan wants to stick with this build-from-the-back mentality, then Bain must remain as no.1

He is confident and assured, but most of all I think us fans are * confident and assured with Bain between the sticks.

That save in the first 10 minutes from kennedy was great, completely different game if that goes in.

I’d be fairly happy if he were to be our long term number 1 to be honest. Sign a competent back up and give Bain his chance.

He’ll soon be Scotland’s number 1 too. Brilliant with the ball at his feet, and a good goalkeeper to boot.

That dodgy high pass Simunovic gave him on the byline at pace with a man pressing down on him and I wasn't worried in the slightest..

Great first touch and kept it moving..

No coincidence that we have put this run together with him in between the sticks.

He plays a huge part in the way we play. That Christ Brendan is finally seen it. Was driving me mad when he would drop him.

I heard lots of people say about how Gordon’s shot stopping was far superior to Bain’s but whenever Scott has been called upon he has delivered. Made that terrific bunch of saves against Airdrie and then again today Kennedy had a great chance but Bain saved it.

His distribution though is night and day compared to Gordon’s. Bain is capable, Gordon isn’t, simple as that.

I think it was @Mr Shelby who was constantly posting about signing him before we did, anyway I disagreed as did a few others. How wrong we were.

Just had a look at his stats and noticed he’s played 18 games in total and we’ve won 17 of those games. (other was 0-0 with Livi)

He’s had 8 Premiership clean sheets on the bounce.

    What’s Forster’s record? 13?

I always thought Gordon was a good keeper but he would make mistakes and panic me a lot during a match. With Bain I feel much more relaxed

Admittedly he hasn't been overly tested this past month, but he certainly has pulled off some great saves when called upon

He's also so much better with the ball at his feet and you can actively see the backline is a lot more confident in using him.

No chance should he lose his position.
