The fact he had to make them saves was worrying and showed that we need better backup for when KT isn’t fit.

Hopefully this Gutman is a better option than Izzy and Hayes.

I've just watched the highlights , and the Bain multi save was outstanding . Well done Scott Bain , another cup clean sheet too . No domestic cup goal conceded since Partick Thistle in League Cup .

What does he have to do to get his chance?

And I mean that seriously not just the usual throwaway ‘whit diz he need tae dae?’

He’s pulling off saves, his distribution is excellent, he hasn’t let us down yet, he’s confident and composed. Why isn’t he playing? It’s night and * day in comparison with the big * Gordon.

    Baffling.
Clearly when Rodgers first came in he was not fond of Gordon, but now seems unable to drop him, even though we have a keeper at the club who has seriously proven to be better in almost every aspect of his game.

Genuinely I would not expect Gordon to pull off the save(s) that bain did today. He would have let that go in, he wouldn't have made that stretch.

Literally hasn't put a hand wrong, at all, when given a chance. Just watching recording of sportscene and that's exactly what I'm thinking watching that save at the end of the 1st half. Tremendous bravery too.

Give him a run and let's see how he copes.

For the people earlier saying that he’s too small, Iker Cassillas is only 6’1. Bain is 6 feet. It’s not as big a deal as some people are making it out to be. As seen he’s good with his feet and makes amazing saves, deserves to be number 1 in my opinion

Greatest goalkeeper in Celtic history - Charlie Shaw. 5ft 6in. Didn't stop him from keeping 240 clean sheets in 436 games, and setting numerous gk records that stood for a century. By contrast, Packie Bonner holds the record for most clean sheets - 254, but took an additional 200-odd games - 632 games in total - to set that mark. Another legendary Celtic keeper, John Thomson, was only 5"9.

Height is an advantage for a keeper but is not a definitive indicator.

If he gets dropped there is something seriously wrong. He's exactly what we need.

Would like to see him get a run now see if he can perform like that against better oppostion.I die a little inside every time Gordon boots it out over the sideline

If Rodgers cant see Bain is the kind of goalkeeper that suits the way he wants keepers to play instead of Gordon who kicks it anywhere then its baffling

Happens everytime, Bain plays great in the cups then doesn’t get a chance in the league unless Gordon is injured. His distribution and confidence with the ball at his feet is levels above Gordon.

Been saying it since he first played for us, he should be no.1.

In the interview after the game. Rodgers stated that Bain plays the game the way he wants. Gordon will still walk back in the team. Between Gordon & Sinclair, not sure why he keeps playing them.

Yes he does have his favourites add Lustig and Boyata to that . No matter how bad they play he keeps picking them

Boyata is first choice for a reason. As is Lustig for that matter. There are no better options in the squad.

Bain is in the squad already, he should be given his chance.

Needs to be our number 1, if Gordon get picked ahead of him again then Rodgers needs a kick right in the Baws.
