He’s agile, * knows how quick he is. Impossible to tell in a Celtic jersey so far.

His height will be immaterial though if he saves shots and can use the ball appropriately like a Rodgers team need his goalkeeper to do.

Paddy Bonner as no.1, Stewart Kerr and Shay Given both in the youth team, we keep Stewart Kerr, sign Carl Muggleton and bin Shay Given.

Stewart Kerr goes onto become a plumber within 10 years, Carl Muggleton ended up a driving instructor, Shay Given ended up one of the most accomplished Premiership GKs ever.

The most Celtic of stories you could ever get.

Given and Friedel two top EPL goalies for 10+ years and we could have had either or both but ended up with Gordon Marshall and Stuart Kerr :99:

Marshall should've been binned for that barnet alone!

The rest of them look straight of Boyzone, he looks straight of Shoezone.

Should play ahead of Gordon for his distribution alone, night and day between them with the ball at their feet.

Thought his distribution was excellent, showed good composure with his passing when under pressure, really hope he get's the final.

Don't even think he's that good a GK, but * me I feel a million times more comfortable seeing him inbetween the sticks instead of Gordon.

I feel more confident with Bain in goals rather than Gordon. He just seems so relaxed, I remember during the game yesterday he came out to catch a ball and then had a joke with Tierney. I hope he becomes our no 1

Friedel what a gk he was, didn't know he was with us on trial or whatever it was till years later. As said Given.
Big Marshall hair lol, and he was a hairdresser too.

I thought Stewart Kerr ended up becoming a fairly successful goalkeeping coach.

Think he's a GK coach in America now but he was a plumber for years.

Far superior than Gordon in regards to distribution and pulled off a great save today

Would be happy to keep him in team ahead of Gordon. Distribution is on another level to Gordon’s

That save was unreal. Bit flappy at crosses at times but so is Gordon.

Bain should be our starting keeper, it's plain to see, to the point it's worrying out management doesn't see it. Like Lustig being done.

Gordon is living on his past reputation, in his time with us he's been done so much at his near post, should have seen red for karate kicking * more than once and we've luckily got away with it, doesn't command the box at corners and his * distribution has cost us goals by instantly putting our defence under pressure.

Think his size * him at crosses, he can't compete physically with the bigger guys and doesn't have the reach that guys like Gordon have. He's a good shot stopper and much better with his feet than Gordon, but I don't think he's a long term solution to any problem.
