Why exactly do kids NEED to be taught about * weirdos who think they're men AND women, or neither, or aliens, or * who want to cut their * off, of even madder * who want a wully superglued on top of their *?

    Getting way beyond silly now...

I never said that. However "education" can be positive or negative depending on who is "educating".

To prevent derogatory terms such as weirdos being applied to them.

And this is the crux of it for me. I’ve seen plenty of people, including myself, be hounded if you don’t fall into their line of thinking. Particularly with the likes of religion.

Homosexuality was never something that was broached in my school.

Doesn’t matter what type of school it is mate, it shows that subjects can be taught within the teachers own viewpoints.

Is there anything being taught in schools about mental illnesses these days btw?

There certainly wasn't anything about mental illness thought when I was at school, and I only finished 6 years ago. I think one guy came in and had a very vague 10 minute chat about mental health but that's all I can remember.

I was * hot at maths couldn’t tell you * all about Pythagoros and stuff now man.

I think all the stuff mentioned should be higher up the list of importance than gender studies, maybe as an elective or a wee bit in biology then aye but there’s a finite amount of things you can focus on in a school setting and those I mentioned above would be absolute priority for me.

Why ? I reckon your post is an example of why tbh Pad I'm afraid to say.

Disagree with that as parents are more than capable of passing on very basic things like that.

Really don’t think they are and to a lot of people that isn’t basic.
