    All,

I sadly lost a very good friend to suicide in October 2009 and since that date mental health has been a cause close to my own heart. There has been significant progress made in removing the stigma attached with talking about mental health, unfortunately though the suicide rate in this country remains alarmingly high!

I have today signed up to do the SAMH Extreme Stomp (7,400 stairs!) at BT Murrayfield on the 26th October, in memory of my friends 10th anniversary but also to raise money for a very worthwhile charity.

As part of the signing up process I have pledged to raise the minimum sum of £150, I’d be grateful if any donation great or small could be made at the following link

    Many thanks

Just a wee update folks; have managed to get another 2 of my friends to sign up to do the walk also, so i'll at least have some company during the torture!

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues and fellow TC members I have already smashed my target of £150 and at the current count the total is £210 for SAMH. There is of course still loads of time between now and the big walk so I will be aiming to raise as much as possible for this very worthwhile cause.

    Thanks for reading.

Well after a few months of waiting the big day is finally upon us! My start time is 11:45 so I'll be getting the train over to Edinburgh at 09:50.

Just as a wee update for the site my current total on justgiving sits at £600 and my target was only £150. Thanks to everybody who took the time to donate their hard earned cash :50:
