I always thought his best position was in behind the striker to be honest, not sure though because he did play as a striker against Motherwell and wasn't too bad.

His finishing isn't good enough to be a striker, misses too many sitters.

Think the No.10 role behind the striker(s) or even CM. Got enough quality on the ball and his passing is good enough for that area imo. But he's still pretty weak up top for that area of the pitch.

I can see him getting loaned out as I don't think he'll get a lot of game time this season.

I'd loan him out. He's good with potential but not at our level yet.

has a chance ,needs to get stronger physicaly ,but i would make space and get him game time for when roberts leaves and he could fill that roll .

He deserves his chance in the first team, very impressive.

I think his best position would be the 10.

Big Tam starts for me though.

I think there could be a cracking player in there....if he stays and keeps doing well and waits his turn.

I've always loved Christe from the first time I seen him kick a ball, he has undoubted ability but it is pivotal that he bulks up, if he had a stronger frame he would be a fantastic player.

A cliched comment but he has a great footballing brain.

Played well today, needs to improve his shooting though. Wastes a lot of chances.

I agree that he needs to bulk up. Rodgers is looking to move on a lot of the deadwood but Christie is one that should be kept. Theres no point in loaning him out, hes served his time at Caley Thistle and can do a job for Celtic even if its just from coming off the bench for now.

Does my head in when people put Christie and players such as Armstrong in the same boat when it comes to succeeding at the club. Christie has done great when given a chance. Armstrong has been given chance after chance and has done nothing of late to deserve an oppurtunity. Plus Christie is a Celtic man so will give his all every game.

Don't really know why we signed him in all honesty. Looks a good talent and could potentially be a good player, but was he really better than anything we already had?

Commons, Rogic, Henderson, Allan, Johansen, Armstrong all ahead of him plus we must have talent in our own youth team?

Should be loaned back to Caley if we can't get an English championship club to take him, needs to play at a decent level weekly.

I'm on the fence in regards to him.

    Potential, no doubt.

I'm aware of that, I was talking about when we signed him. If I remember right we bought him after Allan, who was a better and more experienced prospect, yet still didn't get any gametime.

If we couldn't give minutes to Allan then what hope is there for Christie?

I like him but realistically it's hard to see any place for him at all at Celtic, at any point in the present or future.

Under Ronny. New manager now, Rodgers clearly didn't rate Allan and clearly sees something in Christie, if this wasn't the case then I think Christie would have been out the door on loan by now, there's plenty of clubs in the SPFL and English Championship that would take him no bother but I think he has a exciting future here, he was very good tonight.

I just think we should have left him at ICT. He wasn't such a huge talent that we simply had to take him, like I said I highly doubt he was better than anything already at the club. If he kept playing week in week out and showed good consistency over a couple years, then fine sign him once he's shown he's worth it.

At his age he needs game time, and we are terrible for stifling young players' development. The amount of people like Christie we've left sitting on benches down the years is scandalous and I really can't see him dislodging Rogic or Commons (if he stays).
