Stoked to see Eddie's boys with their tails between their legs. Hope Ireland can properly challenge in Japan next year.

Yeah, Sharks looked really good last week when they mauled Auckland. Not the type of rugby you've seen from them over recent years.

Hurricanes probably the strongest NZ team this year.

Have you seen the text messages from the court case?

Was that not the other boy? I’ve not seen them though, just heard they were a factor.

    Yes.

They were private messages full of typical male bravado after a sexual encounter.

    They were not criminal.

Most of the messages were from McIlroy and Olding, aye.

It is clear from their conversations what type of people they are - entitled, misogynistic arseholes. I would be ashamed to see them represent my club. Ulster Rugby is absolutely right to sack them, in my view. That culture has to be eradicated from rugby and wider society.

“Why are we all such legends “ sums it up. Makes me cringe like * that.

Reading more about the actual court case I keep changing my mind about whether the girl was raped or not. Like Jackson said he didn’t see McIlroy with the girl, then McIlroy said he went in the room and saw Jackson and the girl, then had consensual sexual activity. That’s a massive discrepancy that seems to have been passed on.

Regardless, I agree with you 100%.

It might be in your experience, but it is not in mine - and if it is, that is no excuse in itself.

You might brag about a sexual encounter, with your mates, but the language used, especially in light of rape allegations, is reprehensible.

Legality and morality are quite different.

It’s not typical male bravado, that’s cringy, immature and pathetic.

If one of my mates claimed he or we were legends for * some lassie he’d get ripped for the rest of his days.

Also, the big guy Harrison is a snake *. Takes the lassie home, makes himself look like the good guy even when she tells him what happened. Then he goes and labels her as a silly girl who regrets it when he wasn’t even there.

The legality of what they did is objective, they've had due process and have been found not guilty by a court of law. They are innocent of the crime of which they were accused.

Morality is a subjective concept, and their sexual morality is nobody's business.

Most rugby 'lad' bravado is tbf, but it is not criminal.

Being found not guilty is not the same as being proven innocent
