In a nutshell . . .
Football is a game played by men pretending to be hurt.
Rugby is a game played by men pretending not to be hurt.

Italy giving England a bit of a game here, and yeah that was unreal from Sexton yesterday getting us a win from that far out when there didn't look to be much on.

 

Italy denied a try there and now England go up the other end and score, should see the floodgates open soon.

 

That hurts!

 

What an amazing finish that was yesterday unreal. The kick was amazing in of itself but to go through 41 phases in the lead up and not lose the ball is unreal in of itself as well. Crazy way to win the game but we did dominate most of the game and deserved the win overall. Having said all that we will need to be much better inside the 25 with the ball then we were in Paris if we want to have a shot at winning this title as we really never looked like breaking down the French defense despite having so much of the ball.
I will say this though. All the talk going into the game was how Ireland would win and many calling for an Ireland walk in the park. I never expected that. While no question we are better then this French team our history in Paris other then under Schmidt is dreadful. After our win in 1972 we had the sum total of 1 win and 1 draw alongside 20 defeats in Paris ( 1 game actually played in Bordeaux) before Joe took over and we won in 2014 on the way to winning the title that year. So while yes this is a good Ireland team and yes we are better then France right now I really don't know how anybody could think given our record in Paris how this was going to be a sure thing for us.
