20 year old keeper, recently signed a new 4 year contract with the club. Will now go on loan with Ayr United for the upcoming season - good luck to him!

I’d send him to a Scottish Prem team, possibly Ayr again if they make it through the Playoff.

Him and Hazard definitely to a higher level..

They've shown they're good enough but still no for us yet and need the game time to keep progressing....plus learning from their mistakes..

A side like Motherwell or the likes..

St Johnstone would be a good team for him to go to

Great. He should get plenty game time in a challenging league.

My missus boss is an Ayr fan and reckons the young fella was massive for them last year, some great reflexes and pretty decent on crosses.

Sounds like we done well there, 4 year contract too.

I'm just wondering, have we been pretty good with keepers overall in our history? Been some very impressive ones, maybe it's the same at all clubs? Can't mind the last keeper I didn't like, didn't think Gordon was a problem either but Bain hasn't put a foot wrong, not counting his recent form as he's been too consistent.

Did not know Ayr are called the Honest Men, no wonder Bitcoin chose to sponsor them :fear: Imagine the players you would attract if you paid in Bitcoin, one week it'd be £100 the next £100,000 :60:

Ayr get the name Honest Men from Rabbie Burns' "Tam O'Shanter":
(Auld Ayr, wham ne’er a town surpasses,
For honest men and bonny lasses.)
I'm in Ayrshire and several of their supporters spoke very highly of Doohan.

Apparently he's going to Ross county on season long loan, great opportunity if he can get in and stay in their team for the season

Ross County have lined up a deal for Ross Doohan – as soon as Celtic can land another keeper.

The Scotland Under-21 cap is set to join the Staggies on loan.

A deal has been agreed in principle between the two clubs and should be rubber-stamped as soon as the Premiership champions can bring in another experienced shot-stopper.

Celtic only have Scott Bain, Connor Hazard and Doohan so they will only let the latter go when they are able to bring another
    experienced goalie in.

Ross County boss Stuart Kettlewell confirmed earlier this week that he was looking to bring in another keeper to fight it out with Ross Laidlaw, with youngster Ross Munro out injured

He's 22, he really ought to be given a shot here in some capacity. Forster was 22 when we took him on loan, and to be honest we need to look to that sort of age for someone to develop at the club and cement the position for the next ten years - or sold on for a heft price.

Ross County is a good step up for the lad though, by all accounts done well at Ayr so it is progression. Signs that we are wanting to line up another keeper before we let him go again surely is positive as well - as if we don't get another keeper then surely it is Bain and Doohan as backup as it stands?
Lads got to keep his development up at County if this is where he goes, and Celtic need to keep a strong eye on him, if he does well and comes back here he needs to be in the match day squad for next year.
    Or let the lad go.

What happened to the other youngsters, Hazard and Mullen I think? seemed we had a few youth keepers around a similar age group all looking at least promising at their level.

Will really see now if he will make it here or no..

Like to see Hazard get a top flight loan as well and some outfield boy's this season..

Didn't think Doohan was as old as 22. Good move for him regardless. Having played for Ayr over the last 2 seasons does show he has something about him and good experience. Ross County will add to that so will be interesting to see.

Hazard is doing well too. Was out on loan to Dundee for parts of last season and did well. So while no step in replacement for Foster at least there are some prospects coming through. I think Hazard is slightly younger than Doohan but may be wrong.

Dembele, Doohan, Hazard, Welsh, Robertson, O'Conner, Connell, Afolabi I would love to see all of them out in the Prem if they are not going to get a reasonable look in to the new season.
