I can't take you seriously when you're telling blatant lies.

Messi gets tackled more than any other player on the planet. To say it's a non-contact era is just making things up to suit your own opinion.

Ronaldo is one of the greatest player's I've ever seen without a shadow..

Best stepovers from a player ever for me as well. Especially one on one. He probably never fluffed a one on one in his life (slightly ott but he was that good)..

There is no reasoning with you then because that is one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever seen posted on this forum.

Does he face the same Hackett men that El Diego did?

It's all a matter of opinion but mine is that Maradona would thrive in th modern era and become a better player whilst Messi would decrease and become a flair player.

    It's all conjecture though.

Zidane is a legend but he's not as good as Platini was.

Do you honestly believe that football today is played to the same spirit and laws as previous generations?

You can't be top ever scorer for a team and not be a legend for that team IMO.

I don't think anycunt would be able to get anywhere near him in past era's, where being fit was an optional extra. He'd run rings around any era.

Are you talking his entire international career? He only scored 3 in 98 & didn't play in the final.

Entire career mate. Pretty sure he was one of the top scorers for that French team as well in that tourny, playing from left wing

Messi gets hacked just as badly, mate.

He's far surpassed Maradona in an era where the standard of football is higher.

Personally, I think Iniesta is better in the current game.

We'll have to agree to disagree as I think a significant part of his success has been routed in the modern spirit of the game when defending hard is a dying art.

    It's all opinions though :)

No way is the standard of football higher now. Absolutely no way.

The game has suffered an decline in standard since the 1980s and hasn't shown any side shown any signs of recovery either.

They could have been unstoppable, if both were together and fit.

Nonsense. It's of a much higher standard now. The sport has evolved.
