    On July 4th 2019. Nice accepted an offer from Celtic in the region of £2.1M plus add ons eventually rising to £3M for Perraud

    Some * done it.

    He's a left back so this is now a non story.

    Spending £6m on two left backs within days of each other...if this does actually happen then its just stupid. Fair enough if we can afford it but we need to prioritise a starting right back over a backup left back.

    Brest lead Celtic in the chase for Nice left-back Romain Perraud

    As reported by our colleagues at Soccer Link, Ligue 1 newly promoted side Brest lead Celtic in the race to sign Romain Perraud, the left-sided player, from OGC Nice.

    Brest have made a third offer for the Frenchman in recent hours after seeing bids worth €1m and €1.7m turned down for the player that so impressed on loan with Paris FC last season.

    Brest representative Gregory Lorenzi recently travelled to Nice in an attempt to unblock fee negotiations with the fellow French top flight side.

    Perraud has already agreed personal terms with SB29 and an agreement over a fee remains eminently possible in the coming days.

    However, Nice have so far been very reticent to sell the player, with the take over by Sir Jim Ratcliffe somewhat suspending all transfer activity.

    The Scottish champions are admittedly disposed to offer a bigger fee than Brest to land the Frenchman.

    Must have a bit of investment in them. The French league is a good proposition for any suitors as it is one league that does have a fair bit of competition out with PSG.
