Was thinking about this today as we are on the verge of a tough time as a country as a whole do to the current finacial climate ,do you think we may see a rise in a certain type of music ?

The thing that got me thinking some folk claim the rise of brit pop was down to the positive feeling we had as a nation at the time. Also punk is said to have been so popular due to the fact the country was in a bad way.

    Thoughts ?

You're right FP that's the way it goes I reckon. Post-Rock seems to be getting bigger these days, Post-Punk and Alternative, Indie bands are popping up everywhere, Grindcore, they all kind of sum up the way people are thinking these days.

This is a bit underground at the minute but with the forementioned financial climate I believe this contemporary instrumental fusion could be the future of music as we know it.

    1m10s-1m16s is a particular highlight.

Very good point there CJ, although i'd love to think that rather than existing genre's getting more popular, someone somewhere can totally re-invent music and blow everone away. This country has not had that in far to long and is desparately in need of it.
