I know everybody likes to see players come through the ranks, but voting for Ralston is absolute madness. Not a chance has he shown anything to suggest he's better than Lustig.

Lustig of yesteryear or in current form?

Ralston would struggle to do worse based on current form.

If we are to go 3-5-2 then it don't need fixing really. Guys like Forrest and Ralston should be enough to cover a wingback type role.

I think he'll be eased out..

Lustig's had 2 real bad spells here. When he first joined and the last 2/3 month's but during the latter, you can hear the abuse and level of discontent whenever he passes back to the keeper, nevermind his mistakes..

Sad to see if this really is him declining rapidly, or if he's just in a bad way playing through injuries..

When was the last time anyone actually saw Lustig go past someone or take on a defender? Or even get forward at all? Only time I can think of is the huns game last year.

His legs have gone and it's time to upgrade. Ralston could be the answer in the future, Gamboa isn't good enough.

He's been pure fear at times for well over a year, injuries catching up on him.

Said it well over a year ago and my stance is the same - Needs bettered but he's still probably the best RB at the club.

Still first choice ,and so he should be ,was instrumental in helping sweden qualify by keeping out the italians away ,sure he scored in the hame before as well ,your legs are not gone if you are still being picked for internationals .

Our options at RB are terrible. Need so much better in the summer or it will quickly take over Goalkeeper and CB positions as the weakest part of the team.

I want to see Ralston getting a right good shot at the position.

Rodgers tied him down on a 4 year contract just in December there - you don't do that with a young guy if you don't think he's going to push on for a first team place.

Lustig (whilst a great servant for this club over the years) is rapidly on his way to the end with us. Gamboa is nothing more than back up, and was even 2nd back up behind Ralston at one point or another.

Ralston is the future for us at RB, watch this space....

Agree, really like the look of Ralston there's a steely determination there.

Comparisons with KT are unfair but inevitable I guess, but they are totally different types of fullbacks.

I would however move on both Lustig and Gamboa and strengthen with quality.

I'm sure Michael O'Halloran (our youth coach not the diddy player) said that he had higher hopes for Ralston than he did Tierney around 3 years ago. Obviously KT has kicked on massively but surely that's testament of his potential. I still think there is a naivety to his game but that will hopefully diminish with experience.

Ralston and a new singing would be a favoured option. Though with the amount of ball playing CBs we have I expect to see 3-4-2-1 or a variation a lot more.

Only if he's tuned up and can hit the high notes for the Champions League qualifiers.
