I’m a bit disappointed with the purchase if I’m being totally truthful.

The problem is, my partner and I will be travelling over to Cardiff this summer to visit his parents. It is essential therefore that we have a car that has the capacity cater for our luggage needs. We previously had a Ka, but it simply didn’t have enough room.

This Corsa - which was advertised in a local newspaper - seemed like the most reasonable option. It was also highly recommended by the seller.

Although on reflection, I think 6k is a bit steep, particularly now that I’ve discovered the mileage has been tampered with and the clutch sometimes refuses to engage, meaning I have to drive around in first gear for most of my journeys. This in itself is problematic, for the strain it is putting the engine is producing fumes that are bordering on intolerable.

I suppose I should have gone for a comprehensive test drive before committing to buying, but in the excitement of getting a cheap car, I got a little bit impulsive.

I tried to contact the guy who sold it to me, as I still owe him 1.5k, but he hasn’t answered any of my calls. Went into his work today and no sign of him, and apparently he doesn’t even work there anyway, nobody in the McDonald’s had ever heard of him.

Feeling like I’ve been done like a kipper.

No, as that would be ridiculous.

I bought it privately from an individual who merely happens to work at McDonalds. Or at least, that’s what he told me.

Having done some further inquiries since, it appears he has left the country.

No offence taken, sometimes you just have to laugh at life’s little challenges.

    * off, No way did you get that for 6k! If that was my car I would have sold it for anything less that 8.

Many cars get sold in pubs, so a McDonalds could be possible. :icon_mrgreen:

Bought some tv serious boxsets over the last month

    Sopranos
    season 1 - £3.04
    season 2 - £3:49
    season 3 - £4
    season 4 - £ 3:60

£14.03 for 4 seasons of Sopranos feels like a bargain.

    Lost season 1 - £2:85 season 2 - £2:24

Excellent prices for the Lost seasons.

Bought The Warriors for £2:42 seen it a million times but not for a few years, great film.

Won a bodybuilding(Jay Cutler) DVD on eBay for £3:20 which is £27 in the shops. 10 minutes to go I bidded £3:20 and increased my bid to £12 and nobody outbided me so won it for the 3:20 was well chuffed.
