After the shameful decision to bow down to those scum and dont letting people watch Celtic in their own * city(I dont even put into it that these are one of the most loyal and passionate Celtic fans out there who put so much effort into our club) + the shameful attitude of the "northern" ireland police for not beeing "able" to secure a 18k stadium EVEN AFTER MOVING THE * FIXTURE, we should be even more encouraged to make Belfast a big * party on that Friday. Some people who may not gone over will now go over just to show a big * you to all huns and our shitebag board. Even I, who originally put money to the side to come over from Germany for a match after the university exam period here finishes, am thinking seriously about going over to Belfast.

I added a poll to get some percents what other forum members think.

Yes Kurd it is a brutal decision. And one that fans here in Belfast are reeling from. We are entitled to go support our club in Europe in our own city. If it's a PSNI call it is very discriminatory.

I think it's bad that it came down to this but because of the time of year, they made the correct decision. It would be putting our fans lives at risk.

Celtic have been in bother with UEFA a couple of times recently with banners/flares etc. The Board probably feared the worse with this game. Still, its a cowardly decision.

I'm guessing assurances from the PSNI about our fans safety didn't satisfy the club?? Not only that, that mob would make it their mission to goad/intimidate us to the point where a reaction could see us booted out!! Uefa don't give a * about us......Rapid the best example...club should have pulled out that year!!

Its such a politically motivated decision.. The PSNI are the most experienced police force in the world when it comes to public order and would have no problem keeping the fans apart.

Celtic plc just doesn't want to deal with any adverse publicity regarding our away support. We need a stronger voice within the club and eventual fan ownership.

Is the city itself not designed in a way to try and contain any trouble aswell i.e. the peace walls and what not?
(Don't know much about Belfast so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

If we played in Turkey, Belgrade, Croatia or somewhere in the Middle East we'd go the board have * themselves unnecessarily

This is an act of cowardice that shows the club have no belief in their own fans.

It's * 2017 people. It's a modern UK city not a warzone in the Middle East

Club pulled it's pants down and bent over for the RUC and bigotry as far as I'm concerned.

Would Linfield consider selling directly to Celtic fans? I assume they won't if they sell out their own allocation.
