That * Arteta if I remember. A joke..

I agree with all those saying about the way he dived, lost count the amount of times he wouldn't spread himself and turned his head:rolleyes:

Difference being Telfer facilitated the freedom of the guys in front of him. Douglas did the exact opposite, he had to be protected.

The thread has kinda gone the way I thought then :56: Decent guy but diddy player.

He was also in nets for Scotland in the Holland 6-0 and France 4-0 games.

Very true mate. Paul Telfer gave Nakamura a lot more support than folk realised.

I spent this summer trialling at Forfar and this guy can still play at the same level as at the Celts, saying that he was never really that good at Celtic I always thought Hedman was better and that young Marshall should've been number 1

Amazed he stayed the number 1 for so long.

As has been said, a weak link in a top class Celtic side.

Who would have been available at the time? Who could have joined us and been on a par with the ten in front of him? The few we signed were not up to scratch either. Bosnich maybe?

    Well, I don't know.

Not saying we should have had someone on the same class level as Larsson. I refuse to believe there weren't better options than Rab Douglas though.

You are right but I remember at the time there was not much available in the market we operated. If we just used some of the policy we used today we could have had an Arthur Boruc type. Shame really but * it they were good times.

I despised Telfer. Worst RB I've ever seen in our team.

Big Rab was quite * but pulled out some great saves and I loved him :smiley-laughing002:

Don't get me started on Telfer or that other donkey we wasted 2.5 million on. Can't even mind the * name.

English guy from Coventry I think. Could play centre half or centre forward. Got about 5 games off him and he * off for free.

After his stunner against the huns aye. Wasn't that bad a deal to be honest. He worked his * off and played quite a number of games. Wasn't good enough though.

Virgo (1.5m) made Telfer look like Thuram. Rab wasn't that good, but I've seen worse.(Gordon Marshall)
