I dont think your team is predictable to be fair. Just stressing that Bale offers something different.

    Very tight..

Messi and Pele even things out up top, Gullit better than Rivaldo and more of a goal threat.

Not much between the CBs, Deebo has a better LB and Minty a better RB.

However with Xavi added to the midfield along side the best modern day holding midfielder probably just edges the excellent combination of Neeskens and Tigana. Close though.

So that leaves the wide players its always difficult to compare modern with old. With two great Brazilians on the right of each side, cancelling each other out with Garrincha possibly the more skilful and Jairzinho more powerful.

Ronaldinho a different player to Bale, but Ronaldinho is on a different level.

    Minty just for me.

    Yeah, he definitely does.

Btw, if we're talking about the entire squad, I feel that my subs have the potential to make a better impact in this match as well.

Aguero is a world class striker and he can be put on if I'm needing a goal.

Davids could come on and add defensive cover if it's tight late on and so could Lambert who effectively marked Zidane out of the 97 CL final.

Not sure. Lewandowski is a great player to bring on as again like Bale is different, he's strong and good in the air and my team has good deliveries all over the park, Kaltz at RB was known for his excellent crossing so that would have been a good option to have. Vidal is a great option too, could easily slot in for Neeskens or Tigana and the team wouldn't be weakened a whole lot as he'd provide great energy and a goal threat.
Brogan, a European final appearance maker for Celtic, would be more than adequate cover at the back, and can play left back as well as centre half.

Minty has a better attack and midfield. I prefer Deebo's defence tho

Deebo wins for me, Yashing beats simpson, but prefer Deebos centre back pairings, both attacks are very very good but no matter where you stick Messi up top he is still the best ever for me, I prefer Garrincha to Jarzinio, Gullit vs Rivaldo is a hard one don't really wanna pick but id probably go gullit if pressed, Ronaldiniho is better than Bale. Deebo wins left back battle, Cafu beats Kaltz despite Kaltz mad crosses!

The only position where I'd say Minty is comfortably better is RB, GK and LW.

However, If Messi is going to play that role he'd need to be more of a false 9 though. Ronaldinho beats Bale by some distance. The two in behind for each is a toss up. Garrincha was a better winger than Jairzinho, if very similar. Gullit and Rivaldo are very different players but having seen more of Rivaldo as a kid, he was a genius. I said in the previous round that Minty's front 4 would be near unplayable at times and I still believe it. The fact they are all Brazilian gives it a special feel and the chemistry would be top notch.

Midfield I like the pairing of Neeskens and Tigana with Deebo. Plenty of energy, ability and defensive knowhow there allowing those in front to go to work. On the other hand, Busquets and Xavi know each other inside out.

Defence I think has to go to Deebo. I think the Koeman-Puyol partnership would be fantastic, alongwith Breitner at LB who beats Cole while also being able to shift into DM seemlessly if Neeskens decides to go forward, bit of flexibility there. Cafu aye, is the standout for Minty.

Tough one, but I'm gonna vote for Minty again. His front 4 is nice and Pele is in a more natural area of the park than Messi. His defence isn't as good IMO but still contains some real world class players who compliment each other well so I can't punish him too much.

The fact he has a significantly stronger GK is a help too, as this position is still crucially important, as we all know from having 3 good GK's for the Tic in recent years who have at times really contributed to our European success.

Messi played as a number 9 at Barca before Suarez got there, and like I said in the formation I'm using he'd be interchanging with Gullit.

He's not out of position in my team at all.

I just like the idea of Minty's attack. Could really envisage those 4 playing with one another.

The other areas were quite close.

Yeah that's a fair point. Sick thing is I was going to take Ronaldinho in the draft but Minty picked him right before me!
