Votes from non draft participants will not be counted, so don't bother.

    READ THIS FIRST:

Once your team is ready, post your line up in here and any tactics you'd employ in this match. Once both teams are up, I'll put up the poll.

You can vote for yourself (votes for your own team should eliminate each other out) or you can vote against yourself to end your misery quicker. Up to you.

Votes from non-draft participants won't be counted, so don't bother.

Finally, rather than just voting, it would be good if people could justify why they think a particular team would win. :50:

I'll wait until Deebo uploads his team before discussing the match. :50:

    Poll added.

My defence is stronger, midfield is very close but my attack is stronger overall. Messi isn't in his best position either.

    Yashin > Simpson

Costacurta and Stam > Puyol and Koeman

    Cafu > Kaltz

    Cole > Breitner

    Xavi > Neeskens

    Busquets > Tigana

    Rivaldo > Gullit

    Ronaldinho > Bale

Pele as an out and out striker > Messi as a striker

I would have said the defences were very close, I think my midfield would be better balanced and my attack is stronger. Messi isn't necessarily a centre forward in my team, he can roam around wherever he wants, and can interchange with Gullit who can also play as a striker. Bale gives me team a bit more cover in the wide areas which I think your team lacks with Ronaldinho and Jairzinho, as good as they are going forward.

There's zero chance that my team lacks width. Ronaldinho was as effective down the wing as he was cutting in. My attack is definitely stronger.

I think my midfield has perfect balance tbh. Defensive cover and ball retention with Busquets, who is also adept at forward play, with the greatest midfielder of the modern game beside him. Xavi wasn't just good on the ball, he was excellent off it, being able to press players. Rivaldo adds technique, skill and vision to the No.10 position, which would be handy in getting past Koeman and Puyol.

Jairzinho was pretty handy bombing down the touchline too, btw. So the accusation of my team lacking width just isn't true.

I meant defensive cover in wide areas, I could see Jairzinho struggling to cope defensively with someone like Bale. Ronaldinho and Garrincha would probably be like for like in that regard though.

Good thing Cafu had a better engine on him than Bale then. ;)

Not sure about some of those.

    Yashin > Simpson by far

Costacurta and Stam < Puyol and Koeman

    Cafu > Kaltz

    Cole < Breitne by far

    Xavi > Neeskens maybe
    Busquets > Tigana
Maybe look at Neeskens better than Bus quest and Xavi better than Tigana

    Rivaldo < Gullit

    Ronaldinho > Bale

Pele as an out and out striker > Messi as a striker actually Pele was better playing deeper.

    Cafu is better than Kaltz.

Cole is not better than Breitner.

In my honest opinion there is a baw hair between Costacurta/Stam and Puyol/Koeman.. I would be interested to hear others opinions on that one.

Xavi and Neeskens two different players entirely, but I again I think theres a baw hair between them.

Busquets is probably better than Tigana was.

I would prefer to have Gullit in my team than Rivaldo personally. Sure we only offered Rivaldo a trial, so he couldnt have been that good.

I would take Ronaldinho over Bale, I'll admit that but I think Bale adds something to my team like I've said, Garrincha and Messi are smaller, trickier players and Bale is a more direct, powerful player which makes the attack a bit less predictable.

Also as I said, Messi isn't an out and out striker, he can roam anywhere. He's a better player than Pele no matter what forward position he plays in.

I'd still have Costacurta and Stam ahead of Puyol and Koeman.

Xavi is definitely better than Neeskens.

Martin O'Neill was a fool to only offer Rivaldo a trial. :giggle1:

I don't think, with my attack, my team can be accused of being predictable.
