Ok, we know that Brendan hates the pitch and wants to rip it up and burn it with fire. If we did manage to win the treble and go undefeated to the end of the season though do you think they might sell off the turf for charity?
Who knows it might even help motivate the team a bit in the latter stages, once the title is officially sewn up, if they knew that beyond even the record, charities might even benefit from it.
I have no idea where this notion just came from. I haven't even been drinking today. Thoughts?

That's a brilliant idea and could raise a small fortune. Any clever folk on here to work this out- Selling it in 1ft squares at say £10 would raise roughly how many smackeroonies?

I don't know the exact pitch dimenions but if it were 115yds x 75yds that's 8625 sq yds, or 77625 sq feet, so that would be £776,250 at £10 a pop. I'd say that was a tad steep though, it would probably be cheaper than that.

A worthy novel suggestion in my opinion but only way to know if it's feasible is to put it to someone within Celtic.

You can try contacting the Keano Foundation, or JP Taylor Celtic's fan liason officer.

This sounds like a cracking idea and if its for charity that would be immense. Would imagine the P&P would need to be separate though so it might end up being dearer but still good idea.

Get to work on it young man :50:

I got a keyring when I was younger that had three blades of grass in it from the old Wembley when I did the tour. It was very cool.

We had piece in our garden from the old parkhead. I can't remember if we bought it or one of my das mates cut it out just before it was ripped up. Tbh thou, I'm 90% sure it was bought for a score note and it was 4 pieces that Celtic where selling for a fiver each.

Or we could just throw a massive weekend long event in the stadium.

It could include fans playing on the pitch, bands playing, and other stuff. If the pitch is going to get ripped up, there shouldn't be a problem with fans watching a concert whilst being on the pitch.

It'd be like a one off Celtic style Glastonbury! :56:

It is a good idea to sell it for charity, but the logistics just wouldn't be possible. Like lupus says you would have 77000 squares. Where would you store it to sell . If you had cars coming to pick up their square, that's a lot of cars . 3 cars a minute 24 hours a day would take about 18 days :39:
