    THE Double Treble and seven-in-a-row Celts will take on Belgian side, Standard Liege in a pre-season friendly in Paradise.

    The game against Standard, who were just pipped for the Belgian title by Club Brugge, will be played on Saturday, July 14 with a 3pm kick-off and will be included in the 2018/19 season ticket.

    The Scottish champions will be looking to kick-start their bid for eight titles in a row by warming up against the Belgian side who go straight into the UEFA Champions League at the third qualifying round.

    Almost panicked because I thought for a second Celtic were utter mad to be scheduling a friendly an hour before the World Cup final kicked off.

    Turns out I was off by a day. Does anyone really care about who wins the third-place game?

    This should be a good game. Green brigade also have close ties to Ultras inferno, which is the ultras of standard liege.

    Completely depends on who we’ve signed.

    I personally find the first view of new signings more exciting than some of the run of the mill * you watch ‘competitively’ through the season.
