Think it's because they wore one on wednesday or it might be to do with the colour of the strip, because it's red and white, you probally wouldn't be able to see the poppy.

Because the only thing the GB achieved is to bring negative attention and press to our club and to our fans, which is embarrassing. They detracted attention from the more important protest against the SFA and they oppose a charitable campaign that Celtic Footall Club have supporter for years and have continued to make donations to. As far as I'm aware, part of being a Celtic fan is about supporting charity and while they don't have to agree with that particular charity, they don't have to speak on the behalf of the entire support when their opinion is clearly not shared by the majority of supporters.

Free speech and acting like children who aren't getting their way are different things.

The truth in terms of 'your deeds shaming the devils in *'? That's a crude generalisation of the events in each situation. The British armed forces aren't the only ones guilty of horrible deeds and while I'm not defending any bad deeds done, there is a lot of good work done by the armed forces that's swiftly ignored by a lot of people. The Poppy appeal is for injured soldiers, not the people who make the decisions to go to war. The Poppy appeal is a good cause as far as I'm concerned and while I understand why people wouldn't want to support it, that doesn't mean they should try to prevent others from doing so.

You could flip that right on it's head and say Celtic has brought the negative attention upon themselves, by wrongly putting the poppy on the Celtic top.

You could say it's the club that's detracted attention from the issues we have with the SFA, by wrongly putting the poppy on the Celtic top.

They are not attempting to speak on behalf of the Celtic support. I think that's the poorest argument against the GB's actions.

The GB have their own section and distribute their own tickets, therefore opinions aired in that section are the opinions of the GB.

I'd say they do have to be more careful and realise the whole support is tarred with the same brush but that's just down to the media, they'll put us down at every opportunity anyway.

Celtic fans shouldn't be afraid to air their opinions on the poppy at the match because we wouldn't even have an opinion, if the club hadn't (at the risk of being repetitive here) wrongly put the poppy on the Celtic top.

I'm sick and I'm sure many others are too, of being afraid to voice our honest opinions just in case the Scottish media portray us in a totally negative way - which they try their best to do anyway.

It is not for injured soldiers,it is for ex service men and women.

I will tell you why i dont support it.

It raises money for those who served here, and may now be in need of money.

It is a sham when someone gets money off poppy appeal to furnish their flat.

Now,i nor you, have any idea who receives any of the monies from poppyappeal.

I will leave it at that, because no doubt some people will be offended,if i give a full scale no holds barred view on this.

There's a lot of in depth reasons, going back years, that have many of our fans fuming at the fact the poppy was on the Celtic top. However, I'll give a totally simple reason.

We're a football team, there's no need for a poppy on a football strip. The club preaches to the GB to keep politics and anything not regarding football outside Celtic Park, yet insist on adding the poppy to the Celtic strip year in, year out. Talk about double standards.
