Great minds think alike....bad ones do too apparently.

We offered him a deal but he thought he could get more down south, vaguely recall that he did actually but obviously his career was non-descript after that.

    Lubo - Genius.
Rieper - A major reason we stopped the 10
    Elliot - Tough as f*ck
Gravesen - Header, but could and should have been utilised better
Bobo - Should have played more under Gordon, still had plenty to offer
David Marshall - Was a big fan of his when he burst onto the scene
Jorge Cadete - Would have continued to score for fun
    Craig Bellamy - As above
    Robbie Keane - As above
Roy Keane - World class. A *, but world class noetheless
Naka- Think he was only 30 when he left. Was still playing last year. Probably still is
    Victor Wanyama- Another class act

It hurts to think about how good our squad would be today if we just injected VVD and Wanyama back into it.

Hear me out - was no world beater and probably just didn’t have it enough to handle the pressure here, but I think he could’ve gotten another season. Showed talent while he was here and had a good start under Ronny. Think he would’ve made a decent enough winger.

PAUL MCSTAY. Would absolutely have loved him to play just one more season and have been the Captain that stopped the huns doing 10 in a row. Dont get me wrong Tom Boyd did a great job as Captain but McStay absolutely bled green and white, he was Mr Celtic. The pain he had to endure in the 90's as he watched the huns win title after title as we slid into oblivion was a travesty considering what a brilliant player he was, unfortunately the players around him were no where near the same standard. You could see how much it meant to him when we lifted our first trophy in years (1995 Scottish Cup), but to have seen him lift the title as Captain would have been so sweet and so deserved.

    all of them
Keane- 12 goals in 16 games, shame he didn't stay.

Wakaso- Scored one of our most under-rated European goals in his debut, got injured about 3 games in and deila wasn't fond of him anymore.

Bellamy- scoring record was fantastic for a winger, guy talks * about us now though so * him and his arrogance.

Matthews- Back when 2m was considered too good a deal to turn down for a half decent player, now wasting away his career in league 1 in england.

Musonda- weak as pish and seems to have an attitude problem but apart from that as a winger in europe he could've been pretty good for us. Dropping him when he set up the winner against Zenit the week before was strange and probably what caused him to have a sulk.

Wanyama- thought he had played more than 60 games for us, under appreciated in the bpl due to being dropped for eric dier (crap player imo who is only rated because he is english). I'm sure he is happy sitting on the bench getting paid 75 grand a week to do nothing, would have him back in a heart beat.

Aye, it's just painful to think the utter * unit our team would be if they were here.

I know it divides opinion but even adding peak Forster makes our current squad probably capable of getting close to a semi final in Europa.

    Just found this thread.

    Im going with Paul Elliott

At a time when we were absolutely bollocks as a team and a club we had probably the best centre half in Britain at the time. Was a wonder how our scouting system at the time came across him playing in Italy with Cagliari...cause our scouting system was ridiculously poor at the time (1989).

By the time Elliott left for Chelsea he had held our entire team together for about 2 seasons and he really was no joke a top top quality centre half. I think he would have been best in Britain at the time

Not only should he have played with us longer...his whole career should have lasted longer. He ended in one of those horror tackles that ended his career still in his 20's I think. Brilliant player though

Craig Bellamy I think Celtic was the only club that tamed him, he really understood what was at stake, he just seemed to care instantly just an electric player to watch.

One of the most under rated players in EPL history IMO.

There was a period of time at Man City he was devastatingly good week in and week out.
