i think you may have not read the underlying sarcasm in vert's original post. norwich were always going to be relegation candidates last season so hooper was likely to end up playing championship football eventually

can this silly little argument end now?

i thought it was more of a case of him being moved on by ajax rather than him actually wanting to leave. if he had been getting moved on by ajax i dont think it would have been considered as much of a sideways step

read about the qpr interest last night and the fee being talked about definitely rules us out (£12mil?!)

If you mean Japanese players from the J-League, work permits are the main stumbling block I believe.

not so much the young, young players, but people like kakitani, haraguchi, osako etc, who have a decent amount of caps and would be young enough to get a work permit. just using them as an example as they have all moved to europe this year

I know he's at Southampton so I don't know how much he would be but what about billy sharp? Good scoring record, nice finisher fast and I reckon he could work well with commons and Griffiths.

Been saying bully sharp for last 3 windows mate would have done more than balde last season or pukki at a lower price and probably looking for same wage as those 2 combined! Proven at championship level but could he cut it in CL

Brazilian quintet (Douglas Costa - Teixeira - Fred - Dantinho - Esmaeili) Add to Argentine Ferreira :: refuse to go back to the Ukraine's Shakhtar

This rejection because of the players to continue playing with the Ukrainian club Shakhtar because of the problems experienced by the country and insecurity

    Money :p

Well that's it eh if he could cut it at CL level but I think so as Hooper did. I know he's not the same as Hooper as such but a good finisher with a bit of pace.
