    It does. Everytime they move a ship from port and heli from deck it costs a * ton of money.
    Even ships sat in port cost thousands to run a day.
    It’s not free. Nothing is free. Every litre of fuel, every toilet flush and every jam sandwich costs money.

    Plus searching a body of water that is hundreds of square miles takes a long long time. That’s if the visibility is good and seas are calm.
    The channel rarely has either of those.

    I don’t believe anyone is trying to mock the actual outcome of the tragedy. And certainly not a young guy losing his life along with the pilot who probably has his own family as well. Your right on the account of not being one of our own and because it is not close for us it is usually a mode the brain will go into for the wrong reasons. Happened after Diana died, happened after JFK jnr went down before Martha’s Vineyard and also cheap jibes when Chapcoense team perished. Not a nice trait at all but the human psyche tends to be at its most twisted in times of sadness. I laughed at my Granny’s funeral and not because she was dead but because when the music started during her descent for cremation, my daughter though it was burn baby burn, Disco inferno. In fact had two rows in tears uncontrollably at a delicate time.

    It’s just not a joking mater end of Packy. Embarrassing it’s in our forum. Any cardif fan reading this would be outraged and rightly so. I’m saying no more on the matter. As admin maybe it’s up to you to decide is this a good representation of our fans. I think not. It’s doesn’t represent me.

    You can be shocked and horrified at an event without the need to act like the morality police.

    Haven’t seen any of your threads or posts about the immigrants that drowned In the channel just recently.
    Or are they beneath your fake outrage as they aren’t a famous footballer?

    Don’t think anyone meant to be disrespectful to the folk who have died.
    What I find disrespectful is the way the newspapers always cover these stories. Pages and pages about the player, quotes, pictures and tweets everywhere.
    Then you get maybe one line at the end- oh and by the way, some pilot died as well.

    At the end of the day it is a self inflicted tradegy,the Pilot should have known much much better and the footballer should have used common sense,bearing in mind the severe accounts of the weather reports.As we can see by a number of our cool Bhoys on here getting into a tiny plane is risky,i for one of many would not even dare even in calm conditions.
    Things like this always gather extreme humour,so what,that is what it is,extreme humour on a cool Forum,end of:lol:.

    making a joke about a subject doesn't make the subject funny, do you ever watch stand-up comedians? if Frankie Boyle makes a joke about cancer, it doesn't make cancer a funny subject, you can still laugh at the joke though without being labelled a heartless *. if you got upset over every bad news story you ever heard we'd all be suicidal ffs...
