Tragic. They're surely not alive now. If they survived the crash there's no way they'd last long in those temperatures.

Used to score some cracking goals with him in fifa.

What do you want us and France to do? Send out the whole French and Royal Navy at the cost of a couple hundred million to look for a flying fridge?
    Geez peace.

Shame they didn’t use the same plane from Nantes to Glasgow back in the late 80’s :fear:

Plenty of French, British, air and naval bases on the channel, couple hundred million? dont make me laugh? These people have unlimited resources. and it would cost * all for these people to do a proper search.

a couple hundred million to save lives, when your main concern is this sort of money, hitting our country or the tax payer your view or point means nothing.

Holy * son. These people? You mean the taxpayers? The people who fund coast guards and the armed forces? Like you and me.

If I or you were lost at sea we’d get a couple of boats and helicopter once or twice a day sent out.
No * Navy or whatever you think happens when 1 person out of the thousands that go missing every day happens.
I get it he’s a footballer and therefore ‘special’ but it doesn’t mean we should stop the world to look for him.

And to ask for a search you want it would indeed cost hundreds of millions.
It costs over £10,000 a minute to run some of our Navy’s ships and about £3,000 to get a Sea King helicopter up in the sky with a tank of fuel - which will last a couple of hours.

I think that's what he must be thinking, that because he's a footballer and the money involved at both club's would somehow mean a more thorough search with endless resources getting flung about..

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that and in all likelihood wouldn't have made a difference either way..

Not really sure why this thread has decended into the the mocking of a young fellas loss of life. Tragic story. Nothing funny about it. Shame on thr * in here making a mockery of it. Would be a different story if it was one of our own.

Maybe not, still didn’t make it a joking matter. All you have to do is turn the table and ask yourself if it would be funny if it was one of our players. It wouldn’t and it’s not. He’s a young lad with a life to live and it’s been cut short by the looks of it.

No, thats not what a mean, my point is, doing a search of the channel, sending Navy and Sea Kings does not cost anymore than the running cost of these bases and operations, on a day to day basis, only cost i see is paying the pilots and sailors overtime doing extra hours they will need to work doing the search. And the cost of anything means fuckall anyway, when it comes to saving lives a dont give a * how much it costs me the tax payer, and i certainly dont care what the cost is too goverment. If the citizens of this country are quite happy about spending billions to kill people, in Afganistan, Iraq, Libya and now Syria but the cost of saving lives on our soil is problem?
