    Loans make up almost a third of the entire transfer market in Europe. This isn’t 20 years ago.

    It’s economic purpose is a form of insurance against signing * e.g.) Jeremy Toljan.

    If it’s good enough for PSG, Bayern and Inter Milan in the current market, for example, it’s good enough for Celtic.

    We've got three lads on loan. Forster, Ely and Baeur. That's a sensible amount.

    You probably wouldn't want any more than 3, as highlighted with last season it leaves you in a precarious position the following summer when they all leave.

    However, all the big clubs are loaning players to fill gaps and its even better business when you have to-buy clauses included as we have with a few of the lads.

    I'm reasonably happy with this summers business, having said that we all know this club has more cash sitting there to spend and if Forster or Ely smash it then I expect Lawwell to put his hand in his pocket.

    No. He is solving the problems he created himself. 3 years to solve the widely known problems with the defence. At least 60 million in lost revenue due to having to play with makeshift defenses. And he deserves praise for a bunch of loans and Greg Taylor?
