What we are seeing here is a repeat of what the past board done.... Leading up to before we ended up skint taking a good chunk of resources for them selves and that all they cared about even up to b4 the club ended up skint.... Difference this time is we are winning

Building a first class training centre and hotel. Dont kid yourself if you think that's not massively hindering us on transfer spend. "Money in bank" nah, spent on that stuff, just isn't out the bank yet. Weve got about 4/5m to spend and 3 should have been on the Motherwell boy. So expect 2 signings and 1 loan.

Still spent. Just less lawell would need to borrow to finish the building.

Lawell is still basking in the glory of the treble treble instead of concentrating on the job in hand which to the fans is 10iar. He spoke of the team not needing a lot of changes was he watching the same team as the rest of us last season at points they looked tired and devoid of ideas playing the ball round the back for half the game they were involved in, the leaked transfer sheet showed up his real intentions sell Ntcham and if a good enough offer comes sell Edouard as well so if he doesn't manage to sell them will be move on to hawking Callum McGregor and Kieran Tierney. There is definitely an air of austerity about Celtic at the moment 2nd they have our season ticket money with a waiting list that will disappear if the team fail to secure 9iar maybe we should as fans tell the club the renewal date should be changed from May to August that way of they don't get transfers done and strengthen the team they !might not get the uptake of season tickets and a return to the banners filling seats in the Lisbon lions upper might return

For a man who banked 3million last year between his base salary and bonuses, he’s got a lot to answer for.

I don’t doubt his business acumen, we are in a very healthy position financially. But for me this is potentially part of his problem, he’s become so obsessed with the balance sheet that he has taken his eye of the actual footballing side.

As things stand, since the end of the season we have lost 3 integral players in Boyata, Lustig and Benkovic with no replacements in as of yet. Rightly or wrong we never managed to sign Turnbull. We offered Izzaguire a new deal, a player who was finished about 3 years ago.

The squad is in a dire mess. We are one injury away from Jack Hendry starting in the qualifiers or drafting Bitton in to CB. Got 1 first team full back who isn’t even fit. Then you look at the amount of CMs / wingers we have, the squad is so disjointed.

I really don’t want to bring the Huns into this and I’m not particularly impressed with the players they’ve signed but no doubt they will be stronger next season. We haven’t become a bad team over night but there was enough of a challenge last year to make us wake up and begin creating a bigger gap again.

In terms of actual defenders, am I right in thinking we have 1 right back, 1 left back, and 4 centre halves (2 of which are Commper and Hendry)?

    Whereas we have 8 wingers?

How did it come to this?

We're implementing an 'on a wing and a prayer' strategy.

I honestly don't think he wants that gap to be too big.

RB: Anthony Ralston (8 appearances in 2.5 years)

CB: Jack Hendry (26 appearances in 1.5 years)
CB: Jozo Simunovic (102 appearances in 4 years)
CB: Marvin Compper (1 appearance in 1.5 years)
CB: Kristoffer Ajer (79 appearances in 3 years)

LB: Kieran Tierney (170 appearances in 5 years)

That's the actual defenders we have and how many games they've played for us. No point pretending Bitton, Hayes and Miller are defenders, they're not, they're people played out of position.

Our only LB is yet to return from much-needed surgery. Our RB is entirely inexperienced and largely unfancied. One CB is a total write-off (Compper), and another is almost universally unfancied in Hendry.

Champions League qualifiers start in less than 3 weeks.

    It's a terrible combination

a chairman who doesn't want to spend money and will throw his current prize assets for sale without a second glance and hard to negotiate with

    Combined with

Lennon,Kennedy,Duff the holy trinity of pure mediocrity as your coaches

A higher calibre of player and his agent wouldn't look twice at us, let's be honest. Players would come here for Rodgers, not Lennon...hence why the rumors of Matthews hooper are resurfacing as that's about out level right now.
