Haha, yeah I think I might to be honest. I just don't like how FIFA don't care about the Scottish league, so no Championship, no League Cup and no split at the end of the season. That and only ever about 5 players actually look realistic on the Celtic team.

How long would the USB take to arrive mate? Couldn't be bothered waiting if it took about 3 weeks or so!

 

Was really disappointed to find out Celtic aren't in this after 2 years in a row of champions league football considering these have the * license to the tournament the least they could do is have the teams in the tournament in the game

 

I pre ordered the USB stick from them and its due for delivery tomorrow I ordered it on 4th September probably better buying a USB and downloading it on a desktop/laptop

 

That's all the have is the tournament you play it and without the option file it's the CL in all its glory with fake teams and strips

 

Looking forward to the patches, shouldn't be long.

Although gonna start a ML with Chapocoense (so?) to tick over.

 

Got Pro Evo this year after an extended absence.

In gameplay terms, I do prefer it to FIFA. It's slower and more deliberate. FIFA felt increasingly end-to-end and there was far too much emphasis on pace and power. Especially online. It was frantic and if you couldn't match your opponent physically they could just run over the top of you. A bit like modern English football, really.

Pro Evo seems to be more about winning the midfield battle and getting a foothold in the game. Pace and power, like real football, is still massively important - but it's not everything.
It feels like players like David Silva are truer reflections of themselves in this game, whereas in FIFA they kind of get lost in the shuffle (maybe because I'm too * for them to be effective, I don't know).

It's also not easy to just ping the ball around at high speed. It's possible, but decent AI opposition can and will nick in and win the ball back if you don't get it right.

It's also more tactical. You have to be aware of your tactical style, your opponents tactical style, and how that changes during the game. Even average AI sides (at the higher difficulty settings) can punish you if you get things wrong.

The flaws are obvious, They're the same as they have been forever. The commentary is *, and the lack of licensing takes a bit of the shine away from the game. The latter can be fixed by using a decent option file, which is really easy to do with a PS4. Sadly, there's internet whiz offering an alternative to Drury and Beglin.

I've got it the last couple of years and was not going to get it this year if Celtic weren't (again) in it. I've played the demo though and I'm really enjoying it.

* is with the Usain Bolt pre-order bonus though? What's next, John Higgins because he likes football too!?

I will still probably get it, depends one whether adding the option file makes loading slower like it did last year.

 

Just started a master league save with Ajax. How in earth can they have so many mistakes in the players roster? 2n keeper Boer, Traore,Westerman, Klaassen, Sanchez no longer at Ajax. Nouri will never play football again, Huntelaar nowhere to be seen. Hope to fix this in a new save in the near future with some mods. Still waiting for a mod that has Celtic.

 

I'm an idiot. There was an option for an update. Guess I have to start again.

As in "does it run well on pc?". It does.

Edit: Not sure about online modes though.

 

Just mean is it fun. I tried the demo but i thought top player difficulty was too easy and superstar was impossible, so i dont know if i'd enjoy it.

Single player is normally the only mode on pes on pc as konami's * servers crossed with the small pc playerbase mean multiplayer is basically unplayable.

Thanks, but I mean one of the complete ones. I used this guy's one last year and it overwrote some things in the main option file I used.
